Raw Reax - 5/21/18

Read on for my thoughts on last night's Raw.
- Angle/Stephanie/Reigns/Owens:
NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I can't get behind Angle the spineless GM, nor Reigns the tryhard rebel who can't win the big match.

Ha. Like Brock was going to defend the title at MITB.

I hope Owens can be a real threat to Reigns.

Eh.

- Reigns vs. Owens:
It's kind of crazy Kevin came out and interrupted Roman, but is now ducking him.

Reigns has good fire.

These two go together pretty well.

Fine while it lasted.

- Post-match:
Well, hey, at least Roman isn't beating them both by himself. I wonder if Seth will take his place on the card. I'd be fine with Seth as Universal Champion and Roman holding the IC Title for a while.

- Reigns/Rollins vs. Jinder/Owens:
Jinder could use a win here. Just saying.

This isn't bad so far.

Owens, Seth, and Roman are excelling here. Jinder's doing well enough.

Seth is a workhorse.

Yeah, Seth is definitely outshining Roman. I hope WWE realizes they just put Rollins past him with the win there.

- Post-match:
Ehh. I'd be hypocritical if I didn't praise them for building a new heel.

- Lashley segment:
I'm dreading this sisters thing.

- Reigns vs. Jinder set:
Phew. This is going to be something. Jinder beating Roman would knock Reigns down from Universal Title level, while Roman beating Jinder would just continue the never-ending "close but no cigar" push at Jinder's expense.

- Sami/Lashleys:
WHO SIGNED OFF ON THIS???

This has definitely served to kill Lashley's mystique.

This is rough.

Well, at least Bobby got to kill some jobbers.

- Alexa promo:
Fine enough.

- Ember vs. Alexa:
Moon is definitely ready for this level.

Nice story so far.

Alexa's getting pretty good assistance here, huh?

Not bad at all to keep Moon's momentum going. She's in a tough spot with Ronda and Nia as faces as well.

- Finn/Braun/Stephanie:
Kurt needs to Angle Slam Vince through a table and tell him to take his daughter out of her job.

Oooohhhh…. interesting turn of events. Maybe one man or the other will turn heel.

Fun enough.

- Corbin vs. Jose:
Not bad so far.

Jeez. Jose's momentum is definitely dead, and Corbin isn't exactly lighting things up either.

- Angle/Gable/Dolph/Drew:
Kurt needs to tell Stephanie he already booked that office and he'll sic Ronda on her again. What's it going to take for her to go away??

I'd watch the hell out of Drew and/or Dolph vs. Angle.

Interesting. We'll see how far Chad gets.

- B-Team vs. Breezango:
This is something that belongs on Main Event.

Phew. Nothing to see here. Raw's tag team division is really crowded right now.

- Nia/Ronda/Stephanie:
Ohhhh Stephanie wanted another spotlight moment to push her as the next McMahon in charge. Got it.

I mean, yeah, Ronda has had fewer than ten WWE matches and she's already in the title picture?

I'd like to see them both tell Stephanie to get in there with them in a triple threat if she's going to talk so much shit.

At least the final bit of that was good. Stephanie overshadowed this as usual.

- Ziggler vs. Gable:
This could be really something with both men's backgrounds.

Fine from a technical standpoint.

So-so to keep Dolph's momentum going.

- Post-match:So um, Jason Jordan, we're looking for you, dude.

- Natalya vs. Dana vs. Liv vs. Logan:
I'd be surprised to see any of these women win MITB.

I'm glad the Riott Squad is working together.

That was OK for the time it had. Liv and Logan are still pretty green.

- Post-match:Natalya winning and cashing in on Ronda would be interesting, but I don't want them killing Nia's reign so soon.

- Elias promo:
Nice acknowledgement of WWE's big business day.

This isn't really going anywhere.

- Roode vs. Elias:
I'd be upset if my concerts kept getting interrupted, too!

Nice physicality.

These two work together pretty well.

Not bad!

- Post-match:
Damn. Elias can never get ahead, can he?

- Next week's matches:
If Jinder can't put up a fight against Rollins, how are we going to buy him against Reigns?

Hmmmm…. I'm thinking I want Mickie to win that one, although the Riott Squad are really struggling to get anything going. Sasha and Bayley are going to continue facing each other and Dana isn't going much of anywhere either way.

- Braun vs. Finn:
Nice start.

I like how these two styles come together.

Braun is laying into him!

This is pretty cool.

I like Finn fighting back.

Finn is game to compete with Braun.

That was cool!

- Post-match:
Nice conclusion.

More wrestling coming up.
