Ziggler signing, classic Main Event on WWE Network, podcast notes, Doug Williams update, Liv's status, more on Sane at NJPW, big CMLL event on Honorclub, Hardys special in the works, WWE at AdvertisingWeek, big Taker interview, two more NWA titles on the line soon, Network overhaul in 2019, Bryan on Brie criticism, ROH matches set, and Questions on WWE stars being paid more, big roster cuts, and Turner in the HoF

Dolph Ziggler did a signing at a Cricket Wireless store before Raw.

WWE Network has begun adding WWE Main Event to the vault. I guess it makes sense, given some of the big names on the earlier episodes. It should also be a pretty quick addition.

Charlotte Flair discusses Evolution, ESPN, and more on Lilian Garcia's latest podcast.

Lanny Poffo discussed Andre the Giant on his latest podcast.

Doug Williams announced his retirement, pending the completion of international dates he's already been booked for. I hope he's got a role waiting for him somewhere behind-the-scenes if he wants one.

Liv Morgan appeared for Raw's live events this past weekend, but didn't compete. There's no timetable for her getting back in the ring.

Kairi Sane met with Hiroshi Tanahashi and Juice Robinson at NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed. I'm glad wrestlers in different companies can still interact.

CMLL's International Grand Prix will air on Honorclub October 5. The Briscoes, Matt Taven, and Flip Gordon will all be in action on that event.

A Hardys Halloween special is coming to WWE Network later this month, in line with the Broken/Woken Universe material. This will serve as a pilot for an ongoing series.

New Day will cook pancakes on Smackdown Live. I'm craving some, actually.

WWE was at AdvertisingWeek. The Miz was part of the presentation.

The Undertaker did a long interview. It's pretty cool to see him appear more "as Mark" these days.

Jazz will defend the NWA Women's Championship at NWA's 70th anniversary event. This is going to be an important benchmark for the rebranded NWA's success.

WWE Network is expected to see major changes in 2019, with the long-rumored tier system finally coming to fruition, more video libraries being pursued, and more original content being planned. WWE is currently putting together plans to roll out in the new year. Hopefully those moves will boost a service that's spinning its tires currently.

Daniel Bryan commented on Liv Morgan's injury: Tweet 1 Tweet 2 Tweet 3 Tweet 4 Tweet 5
Tweet 6 Long story short, when Bryan does something that hurts someone, it's seen as a mistake by a talented wrestler. When Brie does something that hurts someone, it's seen as an example of recklessness or poor training. I honestly don't think it's a sexism issue as much as an issue of this specific woman being hired primarily for her looks and not "earning" her contract by spending years on the indies or what have you.

ROH Glory By Honor, live on Honorclub October 12, will feature:
- Jay Lethal vs. Silas Young for the ROH World Championship
- Cody and The Young Bucks vs. SoCal Uncensored for the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championship
-- It's good to see Silas get that opportunity. I'm curious what that means for his storyline with Bully Ray. As for SoCal Uncensored, I'd be a little surprised to see them end that title reign at under three months, but we'll see. Obviously things will be interesting for SCU's status as Final Battle approaches.

NWA will declare a new National Champion on their 70th anniversary event. There will be two four-man elimination matches with the winners facing off to determine the champion. The entrants were announced as Colt Cabana, Scorpio Sky, Jay Bradley, Mike Parrow, Sam Shaw, Ricky Starks, Willie Mack, and Sammy Guevara. I'm interested to see whom they'll focus on as champion going forward.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. No comment, as to avoid turning a wrestling blog into a political one.

2. NBA player salaries are based on the massive TV deals they got. The owners certainly didn't get there without the players! As for WWE superstars, if they do see increases in their contracts, it will be negotiated on a one-on-one basis, since there's no union to speak of.

3. I don't see it happening anytime soon for the reason listed.

4. I don't know if WWE would want to have him do a speech in his physical state, but he is 100% deserving.

Nothing to add to 5.

More wrestling tomorrow.
