Indie name finishes dates, Brock-MMA suspension update, more Okerlund memories, new Rumble entrants, Interviews with Cena/Dunne, DDP putting up $1 million, Impact venue in jeopardy, Homecoming guests, AEW rally streaming, Honorclub match gets gimmick, new WWE exec, CWFH gets new local timeslot, wrestlers help indie stars, NXT names at Raw, Impact preview, Impact Twitch channel grows, and Questions on USA dropping WWE, AJ vs. Taker, AEW names working in NJPW, vegans getting concussions, and foreign objects vs. international objects

ACH worked his final date with Texas' Inspire Pro Wrestling this weekend. It's believed NXT will be signing him.

Brock Lesnar has not paid his $250,000 fine for being suspended from MMA in Nevada. As such, he will remain suspended in that state. I wouldn't expect him to pay the fine unless he has a pending bout there; that's a substantial sum, and he's not exactly doing MMA full-time.

Eric Bischoff and Lilian Garcia discussed "Mean" Gene Okerlund on their respective podcasts.

- Okerlund was also remembered by Central Maine.

- Scott Stanford discussed his passing on the Two Man Power Trip podcast.

Dean Ambrose, Samoa Joe, and Bobby Lashley were all announced as entering the Royal Rumble this weekend.

John Cena talked about WWE in an interview promoting "Bumblebee."

DDP is doing a $1 million transformation challenge to promote his book. I'm glad he's changing lives.

Pete Dunne promoted NXT UK Takeover. The one downside of that brand existing is not getting to see the likes of Dunne and Rhea on the main NXT.

The Nashville Fairgrounds Arena, a.k.a. The Asylum, is set to be taken down at some point, so Impact might have run their final shows there.

Impact Wrestling is erroneously listed as being 90 minutes Friday night on Pursuit's website. Pursuit has really dropped the ball in promoting the series.

Backstage at Homecoming:
- The Veterans of War, Bram, Crazzy Steve, and Caleb Konley
- Billy Corgan and Dave Lagana
- A number of former Impact staffers, including former writer Matt Conway.
-- It'd good to see those names on good terms. I think NWA working with Impact would work well for both sides.

AEW's Double or Nothing rally will stream live on Being The Elite. There will be a lot of eyes on that event.

WOH Champion Kelly Klein vs. Jenny Rose at ROH's January 13 Honorclub event is now a street fight.

WWE named a senior vice president of consumer products. Hopefully she can make something out of that department.

Championship Wrestling from Hollywood is moving to a new timeslot in Los Angeles. That's kind of a weird timeslot, but if someone's willing to stay up that late to watch wrestling, more power to them!

C.M. Punk, MVP, Ruby Riott, and Brody King promoted a GoFundMe for indie wrestlers hurt in a bad car accident. Good to see them helping out less prominent workers.

Lars Sullivan, EC3, Heavy Machinery, and Lacey Evans were all backstage at Raw, which was in the same town as the WWE Performance Center. EC3 and Evans are on this week's Main Event, so it looks like they're joining Raw.

Announced for Friday's Impact:
- Lucha Bros vs. Zachary Wentz and Desmond Xavier of The Rascalz
- Sami Callihan vs. Willie Mack
- Tessa Blanchard in action

Impact has seen notable growth in their Twitch channel after announcing their weekly series will air there. It's good to know there's a level of interest for the show on that medium given the lack of reach Pursuit has.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. It's not happening anytime soon. WWE remains one of the most-viewed properties on TV. If USA did drop WWE, someone else would almost definitely scoop them up.

2. I don't see WWE doing that. While obviously AJ's a star and working with Taker would be a massive milestone for him, it seems like an odd fit.

3. I'm under the impression that situation is still being worked out. AEW would definitely like to do that, but NJPW might not want to support a company rivaling ROH given the existing NJPW-ROH relationship. Time will tell.

4. I've never heard of a link between those two things. As was said, they still get protein from other sources.

5. The real story here is they were traditionally called foreign objects, but WCW started calling them "international" objects because the edict for news channels under the Turner corporate umbrella was to change the verbiage in their coverage from "foreign" to "international" as CNN expanded its coverage around the world. I assume "international object" was a joke in reference to that rather than that edict also extending to WCW.

More wrestling tomorrow.
