KUSHIDA's final NJPW match will be against Hiroshi Tanahashi on January 29. The IWGP Championship is not on the line. KUSHIDA acing the top champion after a big win shows how much he's meant to the company.

NJPW has signed Rocky Romero and Chase Owens to new deals.

Adam Pearce congratulated Championship Wrestling From Hollywood's 400th episode via a video. It may or may not air during the episode, given Pearce being a WWE producer.

John Cena put 205 Live over. There's definitely really good wrestling on the brand.

WWE Network's February collections will showcase King Booker and Valentine's Day (hosted by Mike and Maria Kanellis).

EC3's NXT farewell speech from Sunday was put on YouTube. Amazing that he had stints in two very different iterations of NXT.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund was honored with a WWE Network collection.

Impact saw a power issue at Monday's TV taping, so they made a planned Xplosion match a dark match while the backup generators were prepared. Crazzy Steve defeated OVW's Logan James.

Tommy Dreamer was a producer at both Homecoming and the following night's Impact taping.

Impact alums Chris Harris and Andy Douglas were backstage at Monday's Impact taping. Douglas no longer wrestles.

Rowan was at the WWE Performance Center recently as he works toward a comeback. There is no updated timetable for him returning at this time. I'd be fine with Bray, Harper, and Rowan being completely repackaged, because they're in a never-ending cycle of teaming up and feuding as the same characters.

AEW's owners released statements on the new venture. Cody and the Young Bucks definitely got major backers for their company, and passionate ones at that.

Impact president Ed Nordholm met with the roster before Monday's TV taping, putting over Impact's role in Fight Network's international growth and assuring the workers that Anthem is not looking to sell the company. Nordholm also discussed the show's move to Pursuit, selling it as Impact being used to grow the channel.

Scott Steiner's appearance on this week's Impact is mainly the case of having something special for the show's new home, rather than part of an ongoing angle. The door is open to using Steiner further, however. I'd definitely be open to him being a GM or manager.

Impact's next PPV is scheduled for April, but there's no confirmed date at this time. They may or may not use the Lockdown theme this year.

Batista has signed on for the movie "Dune," which is set to begin filming in March. That would seem to cast doubt on him being inducted into the Hall of Fame and/or competing at WrestleMania. If that's the case, it's unlikely we'll see him wrestle again based on previous comments.

Braun Strowman is not expected to wrestle until Royal Rumble due to lingering injury issues. He's set for next week's Raw, but not this weekend's live events. That would explain why he didn't get physical with Brock.

Vince McMahon and Triple H visited the WWE Performance Center before Raw, which was in Orlando. I'm very curious what Vince thought of some of the signings/prospects there, and how his evaluations differed from HHH's.

Shane McMahon was not at Raw. So it doesn't look like all four McMahons will be at each taping.

Smackdown Live's January 14 live event has been moved to September 13. That suggests Smackdown Live names will be on Raw that night to lead into Royal Rumble. I suppose it's also possible the show was moved due to low ticket sales, but right now I'm leaning toward the former reason.

Braun Strowman got press for his charity work in Wisconsin. That's great!

Chef Allison Robicelli teased something WWE-related, which likely ties into a forthcoming WWE Cookbook.

Tye Dillinger commemorated 17 years as a wrestler. It comes across as a goodbye, given the past tense. We'll see.

DDP and WrestleCon are teaming for a yoga session/birthday celebration during WM35 weekend.

C.M. Punk filed a motion to dismiss Colt Cabana's lawsuit against him, stating Cabana refused to assist financially in the Dr. Amann lawsuit. This could be another long legal proceeding for the pair.

Raw drew 2.33 million viewers Monday night, rebounding from two weeks of taped shows on holidays.

AEW rally notes:
- Chris Jericho, PAC (formerly Neville), SoCal Uncensored (all three members), Joey Janela, MJF, and Penelope Ford were all announced as talents. Hangman Page vs. PAC and Joey Janela vs. MJF were teased as feuds, with the former potentially being for the AEW Championship.

- AEW has a working agreement with Chinese promotion OWE, run by CIMA. A team called Good Hearts was announced as working AEW. That's significant. I hope more agreements are forthcoming.

- Double or Nothing ("All In 2") is set for May 25 in Nevada. The event will be held in the 17,000+ seat MGM Grand Garden Arena. They're definitely going big on that one!

- An additional event will be held in Florida at some point after Double or Nothing.

- Women will be paid equally to men.

WWE removed fans wearing AEW merchandise from Tuesday's Smackdown Live tapings. The fact they turned away paying fans in a time when attendance is unimpressive should tell you a lot about what they think of AEW's potential.

WWE has trademarked "Worlds Collide" for wrestling use. There are a number of possibilities for that to refer to.

The Revival's Dash Wilder applied to trademark "#FTR" for wrestling use. That's a reference to the Young Bucks taking shots at the duo (F___ The Revival). Both sides have teased facing each other, so AEW's tag division might be about to grow.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Well the standard answer would be the man who's made the most money in wrestling and whose product is seen by the most people, but I definitely think Vince McMahon is living off the work of years and decades past rather than being an innovator in 2019. I think I'm going to go with the Young Bucks given what they've accomplished and created with their own vision. Triple H has tens of millions of dollars to use to hire people who have already proven themselves elsewhere. He doesn't have as difficult of a task as the Bucks do. Also, honorable mention to Brock Lesnar given the money-to-work ratio he's been able to attain.

2. I wouldn't say that of the women's division as a whole, but you could certainly make that argument for certain performers in particular. Alexa Bliss comes to mind.

3. Unless she was just really awful and fans rejected her in droves, I think so.

4. I wouldn't think they'd want to split that many talents away from Raw and Smackdown Live (and NXT?) tours. That would also mean a LOT more work for the people who book hotels and venues. It could happen someday, but I definitely don't see it as something they're working toward.

5. Basically he's contracted as a performer but provides guidance to keep things moving smoothly. He's not an executive in any way.

More wrestling tomorrow.
