Road to Supercard Houston Reax

Read on for my thoughts on last night's HonorClub event.
- Night Three:
I don't envy ROH going up against Royal Rumble weekend. Some people didn't even cover some of these shows because everyone's more interested in what WWE's doing.

- 3S vs. Coughlin/Fredericks/Connors:
Fine enough start to things.

I see the potential in the NJPW guys.

Not bad!

- Post-match:
AGAIN, one night it's Matt Taven, World Title contender. The next night, it's six-man nonsense against ROH's Social Outcasts.

Good. 3S shouldn't stand a chance against someone who might be headlining ROH's biggest show BY FAR, especially after they just wrestled.

I like the continuity here.

- Kingdom vs. Castle/Boys:
ROH does do a pretty good job of flowing into the next thing.

Yeah Castle's taking a beating. Maybe this wasn't a great idea?

Pretty fun use of The Boys.

Interesting tease of a split there.

Glad they could beat a comedy trio.

- Post-match:
Hmmmmmm….. Castle as a heel would be odd.

- Tracy vs. Titus:
Fine showcase of the new guy.

Tracy's definitely game.

Rhett's not bad, either!

Whoa.... a submission with a chinlock? In 2019???

- PCO/Brody vs. Kenny/MVP vs. Bouncers:
Now this is fun.

I would not mind more of the King/MVP pairing.

I'm liking this!

Pretty fun!

- Lethal/Gresham vs. Juice/Finlay vs. C2C:
ROH puts together some wacky matches on the regular. Both semifinals have two game teams and a somewhat questionable one.

Everyone here is impressive.

The new guys are fitting right in!

Pretty impressive.

- Klein vs. Sumie:
Ohhhh boy looks like we're in for a lot of interference.

I like how these two work together.

Nice physicality.

OK I did like Camp Klein saving Kelly there.

And the crossbody!

Wow. This feels big.

Pretty cool work overall.

- Post-match:
Interesting direction. Everyone feuds with everyone in ROH it seems.

Awww poor Sumie.

- Cobb/Mack vs. Silas/Shane:
Now this could be a blast.

I hate when someone Tower of Dooms their own partner.

Ahhhh that was going so well until Bully showed up.

Welp, looks like Bully vs. Cobb is happening. Cobb finishing him off for good would be great.

- Bandido vs. Rocky:
I like the psychology here.

Yeah Bandido is game.

This is very solid.

These two work together very well.

Great work here!

That was really enjoyable.

- Scurll vs. Haskins:
OK that was a pretty funny start.

Another example of two people who work together.

I like this having a different feel from some of the other matches.

This is SMOOTH.

Wow. Good work showing what both men can do.

- More Klein:
Now that's a prominent match!

- PCO/Brody vs. Juice/Finlay:
Yeah ROH is definitely positioning its new signings well.

I'm impressed with what all four men are bringing here.

This is pretty fun.

That was worked very well. VE's getting a lot of opportunities!

- Post-match:
Wait are they already teasing VE splitting???

Glad to see the Briscoes on this show. They might be the best reason to keep watching ROH.

I like this, other than PCO no-selling so much.

Now THIS is a brawl.

Well that was a pretty insane ending!
