Interviews with Paige/Owens/Heyman/Knobbs, Bischoff updates, Sheamus anniversary, assorted WWE press, ROH moves top PPV, Marvez-AEW update, who's running 205 Live, WWE Peru card, WWE PPV main event stipulation, WWE airing live in Europe, Impact in TV discussions, 24/7 title brings big success, Arn being honored, Raw dark match, and Questions on Becky saying belts, why WWE does so many rematches, Cornette in the new NWA, Rollins' next opponent, and Graves' commentary change

Paige discussed her current WWE role and more. Hopefully WWE will sort through things and get a consistent vision for people with the staff changes. I am glad Paige is advocating for her team and hope more talents do that.

Eric Bischoff will move to Connecticut next week to begin full-time WWE work. His "83 Weeks" podcast will continue, but there will be no more live editions due to his new schedule. I'm very interested to see how he adjusts to current WWE and how it adjusts to him.

- Bischoff will likely begin making changes to Smackdown Live after Extreme Rules. He will be at tonight's taping, but isn't performing his duties yet.

Kevin Owens is on Lilian Garcia's latest podcast.

Sheamus marked 10 years since his WWE debut. I hope he's able to see a reboot when he returns. He's good.

WWE worked with GLAAD at New York City's Pride parade.

Final Battle 2019 will be held in Maryland. Traditionally the show has been near New York City. I'm curious if the move is due to less ticket demand.

Alex Marvez was backstage at Fyter Fest and filmed some material for future AEW use. It's probably best for him to not be back at the desk, but we'll see if he gets another opportunity there.

Ember Moon did a signing at a Cricket Wireless store before Raw. Sheamus will do a signing at a local Air Force base before Smackdown Live.

205 Live is currently being run by Adam Pearce. I'm curious what that means for the show's future.

Roman Reigns appeared in a Brisk tea commercial in coordination with "Hobbs & Shaw."

WWE's Peruvian event on August 24 is advertised as a Smackdown Live show with a few notable exceptions:
- Rey Mysterio is facing Randy Orton
- Alexa Bliss (with Nikki Cross) in a triple threat match with Bayley and Charlotte Flair for the Smackdown Women's Championship
- Drake Maverick is defending the 24/7 Championship against R-Truth if still champion
- Sami Zayn is teaming with Kevin Owens against Big E and Xavier Woods
- Also of note, Dolph Ziggler is facing Ali. There continues to be speculation of how much Dolph is going to work for WWE.

Extreme Rules' match with Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch against Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans is now an Extreme Rules match.

Raw and Smackdown Live are now airing live in France on AB1 and Belgium on ABXPLORE.

Paul Heyman discussed not having authority figures in an interview with Inside The Ropes. There's definitely been an overreliance on executives on WWE TV.

Impact is in talks with AXS regarding moving their TV show. AXS of course airs NJPW and WOW. That could definitely be a good change from Pursuit.

R-Truth and the 24/7 Championship's success was profiled by Forbes. WWE has really benefited from the feeling of spontaneity.

Arn Anderson is being inducted to the Alabama Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame on Saturday. Anderson worked in Alabama a lot early in his career.

Brian Knobbs gave a long interview to The Hannibal TV. Interesting remarks about Impact's level of threat to WWE compared to AEW's.

After Raw, Seth Rollins defeated Baron Corbin in a Falls Count Anywhere match to retain the Universal Championship.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Vince is generally willing to bend his rules if someone/something proves able to get over beyond his expectations.

2. Essentially it's because WWE has so many prominent events close together. It's easier to re(re)heat a feud up for another match than starting 12+ new title feuds a year that only go a few weeks each. I don't know how much Heyman and Bischoff can do to change something that's that integral to how WWE does things in 2019. Obviously a lot of fans think it makes sense to cut back on live events and PPVs given how much of a focus TV is, but there's no indication WWE is going that route.

3. They have used him on commentary, so the two sides have obviously worked together. I'm not sure if Cornette would want to be an executive in NWA, and it's possible his vision differs notably from what Corgan and Lagana want to do.

4. Rollins vs. Lesnar would be an obvious direction. I would think Sami Zayn or Samoa Joe could be in the mix if WWE wanted, and obviously with the Wild Card rule they could also use Kevin Owens, Drew McIntyre or Dolph Ziggler. We'll see.

5. I definitely preferred Corey Graves developing his own persona rather than being a Vince McMahon production, but, as always, it's Vince's show!

More wrestling tomorrow.
