Dynamite Reax - 9/2/20

 Read on for my thoughts on last night's Dynamite.

- Friends/Santana/Ortiz:

Good start to things.

Pretty badass!!! AEW is great at carnage. 

- Friends vs. Santana/Ortiz:

Good story early. It's very clear who the heels are.

This is good and has been built up to well.

Solid work from both teams.

That was good! I liked the hardcore elements. 

- MJF et al:

Legitimately this show would be better if they just cut their losses with him and move him to Dark.

- Bucks/Saurus/Jungle vs. Kazarian/Daniels/Party:

AEW does a good job of having a variety of people facing off.

Pretty good story so far.

Nice spot with the fan's sign.

Wow. The Bucks are pretty upset! And some say they never take anything seriously!

Very solid tag work here.

The pre-AEW rivalry of the Bucks and SCU playing out is cool.

I like all the double-teams here.

I really like Luchasaurus being in the tag team division given how much he stands out from others. 

This is just all out fun.

This is heating up well!

Good ending to set the stage for All Out.

- Hager/OC:

I liked that. I want to see more of Hager wrestling.

- Tully/FTR:

I am all about this.

- Omega/Page/FTR:

I continue to enjoy the Omega/Page dynamic.

This is a solid segment, for sure.

I love FTR playing them against each other.

Very good build.

- Jericho promo:

Bleh. 

- Jericho vs. Joey:

Oh I like this side of Chris.

WOW. Decisive.

- Post-match:

WOOWWWW yeah Jericho rebounded from his loss.

I like how this keeps building. 

That was pretty cool.

- Hardy promo:

It would be interesting if he actually left AEW, since he hasn't been the big player some expected.

- Battle royal hype:

Haahahaha WHAT? Interesting choice of words from Jake.

This is cool as hell.

Very, very cool.

HOLY SHIT talk about a major fight.

- Eight man hype:

AEW really does a fantastic job of hyping things. The product doesn't feel like it changes directions every week.

- Rosa vs. Deeb:

We continue to see quite the variety of workers in AEW.

I'm glad to see both women in action again.

I hope this isn't the last we see of Serena.

This is not bad at all.

Good match!

- Mox promo:

This would be a perfect time for MJF to lose and reinvent himself as someone with some depth. 

- Swole/Baker:

Not a huge fan of this. 

- Wardlow/Sterling:

I liked this. 

- Mox vs. Sterling:

Ehhhhhhhh. 

Feels very "WWE"

Probably going a little long, but Moxley is fun here.

Glad that ended when it did.

- Post-match:

Man, Wardlow has really been underutilized.

They are giving MJF every opportunity in the world and then some.

Nice spot to show what MJF is, in theory, more than a cliche character.

Not a huge fan of this in the COVID era. It looks badass, but it feels a bit tone deaf.
