NXT Reax - 9/1/20

 Read on for my thoughts on last night's NXT.

- Legado vs. Breezango/Scott:

Enjoyable start.

Oh this is already good.

There's good carnage here.

This is pretty badass!

That dropkick spot was cool as hell.

Very nice work here.

Oh. Maybe Imperium isn't gone yet after all.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH so much for that big five-on-one advantage.

That was really good.

- Tegan interview:

I really like the backstory here.

Nox is pretty pure of heart to keep wanting friendship.

- CLR vs. Kacy:

Solid work here.

That was good all around!

- Post-match:

No way does that end well for Nox.

- Rhea promo:

Wow. She's not beating around the bush!

- Thatcher vs. Reed:

I like Bronson surprising Timothy with his work here.

This is good!

AHHH I like the Thatcher/Theory pairing.

That was pretty cool!

- Martinez promo:

Fine by me!

- Iron Man Match:

-- Cole 0, Finn 0, Gargano 0, Ciampa 0:

Honestly the heel immediately going out of the ring spot is overdone.

This is a pretty cool meeting. Kind of the apex of NXT, really. Especially since at least three of these guys need to be on Raw or Smackdown by the end of the year. Ciampa can get a pass if they're skeptical about his condition.

Good story to start. Everyone's making a mark.

I really enjoy Ciampa's mean streak.

It is a lot of fun seeing all these names collide at once. It feels like they've all faced each other plenty separately.

Gargano vs. Cole is a lot of fun.

This has been told really well. Three phenomenal athletes and one rugged SOB in Ciampa.

I'm glad they didn't rush to have falls given how long these guys usually go.

This is very badass. And in front of zero fans!

For once the Tower of Doom made sense. 

They're going hard here. 

I love how everyone has everyone else countered here.

Hahahahaaha that Balor/Cole tease.

That was very good - they could have honestly ended it with the first pin and it would have been amazing.

I like Finn keeping everyone out of the ring. He doesn't have to do anything to win. They do.

This is absolutely incredible all around.

I continue to be very impressed with everyone.

That was a good fall!

Very cool stuff. It makes sense everyone is finally worn down enough to pin.

Well of course Ciampa needed to get a pin next. That was good, though.

This is an absolute battle. The level of endurance these names have is unreal.

I love now that every move matters. 

Mauro would have loved to call this.

I really love the level of strategy each man has here. It's not just spot spot spot spot spot as some thought it would be.

A little surprised to see a submission move spot.

A double submission spot even!

This is getting intense! I like the urgency from the time limit.

Gargano still being able to do suicide dives is nuts.

This is really, really good.

Haha everyone keeps preventing everyone else from winning.

I love Ciampa going on a rampage. He's over this.

Brilliant. NXT could not have delivered at a higher level on this episode. For better or worse, we'll see how much this style appeals to wrestling fans at large.
