Read on for my thoughts on last night's Raw.
- Fiend/Alexa/RETRIBUTION/Business:
Very interesting clash of characters.
That was pretty cool. I like the shades of gray in the characters.
- Riddle promo:
I like Riddle, but it's not a surprise WWE is struggling to utilize him effectively. Especially given how old the average audience is.
- RETRIBUTION vs. Business:
This is pretty cool. Both sides have been built well.
WOW. A little surprised they lost. Match was good, though.
- Post-match:
WOW. Yeah, looks like they've moved on from RETRIBUTION.
- AJ promo:
So um any explanation for why these two are randomly together?
Honestly AJ vs. Seth could be a pretty good feud given AJ's religious upbringing.
Mostly solid.
- AJ vs. Riddle:
They're clearly invested in Jordan.
I like how these two work together.
Wow. I like this.
Good stuff. Obviously Jordan's the guy they want to build.
- Drew interview:
He has great fire.
That was BADASS.
- Asuka vs. Lana:
Lana's not bad here.
WOW. They really showed Lana, huh?
- Post-match:
Haha it's like a competition to see how many scenarios they can come up with to destroy Lana.
So much for the singles and tag champions staying apart post-draft.
- Nia/Shayna/Dana/Mandy/Lacey/Peyton/Liv/Ruby:
I like this duo.
Wow yeah they really threw this together with little explanation.
- Nia/Shayna vs. Dana/Mandy vs. Lacey/Peyton vs. Liv/Ruby:
Flashy moves for the sake of them.
This isn't awful. It's just not a great way to get so many characters over at once.
I liked that ending.
- Elias concert:
Pretty standard honestly.
- Miz/JoMo/Tucker:
This feud will go forever, I see.
The Draft basically just moved Raw feuds to Smackdown and vice versa.
- Elias interview:
Kind of a rushed match, but that's the timeline they had.
- New Day/Sheamus:
It would not shock me at all if Big E did the same stuff he was doing but now just by himself.
- Kofi vs. Sheamus:
Their first singles match was in April 2010.
Good stuff here.
Solid work.
I like how they work together.
Pretty good!
- Ali promo:
Haha wow it's like they brought back the hacker thing just to pretend this was the plan all along.
Honestly they've been pretty firmly established as a midcard group at this point.
- Business/Titus:
That was pretty based. Good to remind us they're not faces.
- Miz/JoMo/Tucker/Gordo:
PHEWWWW. This gimmick has really overstayed its welcome.
Poor Miz has fallen so far since being WWE Champion.
I feel sorry for Miz being stuck in this story.
- Miz/JoMo vs. Tucker/Gordo:
Nice work from the heels.
OK the Lucha House Party thing was pretty funny.
Silly.
- Post-match:
I don't blame Sonya for taking time off...
- Fun House:
This is a great switch for Alexa.
- Braun vs. Keith:
Keith facing a former WWE Champion in the main event of Raw?? WHAT A BURIAL!
I like this.
That was OK.
- Post-match:
Well this is continuing, I see.
- Orton/Drew:
Very cool stories of past HIACs.
I liked that overall. Should be a good end to the feud.
More wrestling coming up.
