NJPW in the U.S., Network to UK/Ireland (for real this time), NFL promo, TNA changes roster including some releases, and Questions on Heyman, Taker vs. Wyatt, The Authority, and GFW vs. WWE

NJPW will be putting on some combined shows with Ring of Honor on May 15 and May 16. I'm interested to see how the interaction between GFW, ROH, and NJPW will play out. I hope they all get along together.

WWE announced the WWE Network coming to the UK and Ireland on January 19. This means they'll be able to watch the Royal Rumble that weekend on the Network, which is great. It might be time to start transitioning HHH and Stephanie into the role of ambassadors for the company. Vince is definitely starting to show his age. He's still got some spunk, though.

Update: WWE put out an official press release on the matter. It's a big deal for the company and the market.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

A player for the Indianapolis Colts cut a promo inspired by Ric Flair. That's pretty cool.

TNA has updated the roster on their website, removing Bully Ray, Brittany, Devon, Rampage Jackson, Rob Terry (The Freak), Shark Boy, and Willow.

- Team 3D was no surprise, as their contracts expired in October.

- Brittany's contract just expired, so I'm a LITTLE bit surprised her profile was removed. Presumably they don't plan on trying to get her back.

- Rampage is done with Bellator, so I didn't expect him back, anyway. I'm glad they finally removed him. King Mo, interestingly, is still listed.

- Rob Terry/The Freak is the only real surprise, because I hadn't seen any indication of his contract ending. The Menagerie gimmick will continue without him, but they might should add a new member. They tried multiple times to make him into something, but it never worked out like they wanted.

- I wouldn't be shocked to see Shark Boy return down the line, continuing to be an enhancement talent. I think they just removed his profile for space purposes.

- Willow was a bit of a surprise. The character's been missing for a number of months, but I assumed it was a possibility we'd see it again in 2015. It might still be possible, but the character's off the website for now.

I'm curious as to who will be removed next. Garett Bischoff? King Mo? Rhino? Brooke?

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Paul Heyman's a one-of-a-kind guy, and I'm glad we got such a great documentary on him.

2. Beating Taker at Mania is still a really big deal. It's not as big of a deal as it was before Lesnar did it, but it can still be a big rub to beat the legend in one of his last matches ever.

Nothing to add to 3. WWE will do everything they can to make sure everything looks as good as possible.

4. A lot of stories, characters, etc. are rehashes or inspired by previous ones in earlier generations. That doesn't just apply to wrestling. I definitely think The Authority are the latest incarnation of the character Vince is best known for, but that in of itself isn't enough for me to dislike them. It's the fact so much TV time spent on them could be better used getting some other angles and characters some air time.

5. It's WAY, WWWWAAAAAAAYYYYYY to early to see GFW as a competitor to WWE in terms of being able to provide talent a similar level of income and work. There's some potential there, but it could be years before that's even on the table. WWE just has that much of an advantage in the market.

More wrestling tomorrow.
