Query on WWE attendance vs. TNA attendance, WCW team reuniting, live event notes, Network additions, Jeff Hardy update, Y2J signs new deal, AJ Lee update, and Questions on liking Daniel Bryan, TNA ratings, Bull Dempsey, stables, and Reigns getting pushed

First up, a query:
1. WWE attendance is definitely much higher than that of TNA, and WWE runs shows a lot more regularly. WWE's most recent PPV, hardly a marquee event at the level of WrestleMania or the Rumble, drew 14,000 fans. TNA's biggest PPV attendance ever is listed as about 7,000. Attendance at TNA live events is more on the level of an indie promotion like ROH than of WWE.

Harlem Heat will reunite at a show for Booker T.'s wrestling promotion in February. It's the first time Stevie Ray has had a match since 2002. I hope it's worth the wait!

A WWE live event this weekend featured:
- NXT's Tyler Breeze vs. Darren Young. Big Show came out and punched both of them.
- Alex Riley losing to Sin Cara.
- Sasha Banks on the losing end of a six-Diva tag.

It's cool to see some names we don't see on the main roster are working live events. Hopefully they did well and WWE's looking at how best to fit them into the big picture of things.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Here's a report from a recent NXT live event. It's crazy to think Neville and Zayn were working there while Breeze and Sasha were on the main roster shows. It's nice to have some variety, though, I guess.

WWE is adding past seasons of "Tough Enough" to the WWE Network. That's pretty cool. They're worth checking out. That was a game-changer for THIS BUSINESS as it exposed what wrestlers go through to non-wrestling fans.

The spot that reportedly injured Jeff Hardy was planned to write him off TV ahead of the UK tapings at the end of January. Hardy's unable to legally enter the country due to his 2009 drug conviction. There's a dispute as to how hurt he really was, but he'll definitely be gone from TV for a while after Lockdown. I expect him to be back at the next domestic tapings, expected to be in March.

Chris Jericho signed a new contract with WWE to work specific dates up through March 1. It looks like he's just working live events. That's an added incentive to see those shows!

AJ Lee is advertised for a live event in her home state of New Jersey the night before the Royal Rumble. Whether that's the official start of her return or just a cameo remains to be seen. As much as I like AJ, it's been nice for her character to take a break for a while. AJ being able to nurse her injury's pretty great, too, of course.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Smarks like Bryan because he's a neckbeard hipster like they are. Just kidding. He's a technically-gifted underdog who's worked for years to get where he is now, despite "the system" or whomever being against him. That's a lot of it. I think him being "screwed" at previous Manias by being bumped to the pre-show and losing in 18 seconds was what really fired people up about him getting a big push going into WM30. Especially when it came down to Bryan getting the push vs. Batista, who just waltzed right into winning the Rumble after being gone for so long. As for his injury, I think it was more of a wear-and-tear thing than so many dives. Was Santino reckless? He had a big injury, too.

2. I think a lot of fans gave up on TNA at one point or another and never came back. Some when Hogan and Bischoff made changes, some when (insert talent(s) here) left, some when there was the whatever number storyline they disliked. There've been quite a few "new beginnings", but at some point it's the boy who cried wolf to some people as TNA goes back to what worked in the past instead of trying to form their own identity.

3. I think he's OK. He needs a good deal more experience before I'd really be a fan of him. We're definitely not at a point to consider whether he should be brought to the main roster. All that said, he's got good size and can definitely do a squash match.

4. The nWo and DX had such a big audience, more people will consider them "the best stable" or whatever just because that's who they've been exposed to. As such, some names will be overlooked.

5. As was said, Bryan's hardly an old guy or stale main eventer. El Torito's newer than Bryan, too. Should we just be behind him for that reason if WWE had him win the Rumble? Bryan has been the top guy, but very briefly. We haven't gotten our "fix" of him being in that role yet.

More wrestling tomorrow.
