Query on contracts ending in 2015, more live event notes, Otunga update, another NXT match, indie name to WWE update, Interview with Bret Hart, possible main event for Fast Lane, more content on WWE Network, Smackdown audience, ex-ECW name has bad diagnosis, possible Rumble spoiler, and Questions on firing angles, TNA ratings, MITB, and The Ascension

First up, a query:
1. Contracts I know of expiring in 2015 are Brock Lesnar, Rey Mysterio, and possibly Christian. I would think Sting falls into that category, too. I'm sure some other less major names whose contracts are coming up in the next 350-something days, but those are the prominent ones.

On Sunday's WWE live event:
- Los Matadores and El Torito beat David Otunga, Titus O'Neil and Hornswoggle
- Chris Jericho beat Luke Harper

I wonder what other names they'll pull out of the mothballs to team with Titus. I don't know how realistic of an option this is, but it'd be funny to have Stardust work one match while Cody Rhodes teams with Titus.

Update: Otunga wasn't booked for anything beyond those live events, and flew home before Raw. It's not a bad idea to fill him in while Slater is being cleared. If he does well and has the interest to remain wrestling, I guess they could try teaming Slater, Titus, and Otunga (and presumably Hornswoggle).

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Also on this week's NXT will be Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte and Natalya. I look forward to that one.

It's believed EVOLVE talent Uhaa Nation will be signing with WWE soon, but he will continue working there in the meantime.

Bret Hart talked about his current relationship with Vince McMahon and more. I'm glad they're working together well now.

WWE is currently advertising John Cena and Roman Reigns vs. Big Show and Seth Rollins as the main event of Fast Lane, but this isn't set in stone. Honestly, that doesn't sound all that exciting. Maybe if there was a big stipulation attached?

WCCW content will be added back to the WWE Network soon. They've got quite a bit of stuff there.

Smackdown dropped to 2.43 million viewers for Friday's show. I hope Thursday sees a big increase.

Former ECW TV Champion Jason Knight has announced an advanced throat cancer diagnosis. Very sorry to hear that. I hope it goes into remission soon.

John Cena was being advertised as WWE World Champion on a live event in March, but that has since been changed. That would be a colossal mistake, unless there's some amazing story they're going to tell that requires that to happen.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Less is more with firing angles. It does feel like they're done too casually these days. Hopefully after Mania season, we get a good break from heel GM figures being all-important.

2. I don't think I expected it to drop that significantly, but there was no way they were going to be close to what they had on Spike. I expected 700,000 tops, and that was an optimistic estimate.

3. You won't get any argument from me about them following a lot of the same mistakes of WCW. As for HHH, I don't think it's quite like the WCW days. He'd be the champ if it was. I do think things have been too much about him in the not-so-distant past, but he should get credit for losing to Bryan and The Shield in big matches, as well as not being in the main event of Survivor Series.

4. I'm not quite sure what this question's asking. I have no problems with the cash in being done that way.

5. Saying they're better than teams from previous generations and winning in dominant fashion is fine. JBL burying them and the whole thing being undermined is what's hurting them. What is there to gain by saying the talents aren't good?

More wrestling tomorrow.
