Cena update, off-air notes from Survivor Series, new WWE Network shows, future Stone Cold guests, another WWE star to miss WM32 season, and Questions on James Storm, the Charlotte/Paige angle, Pope's commentary, and shaking things up in WWE

John Cena discussed taking time off from WWE. To say WWE really needs to get to where they don't need to rely on him as an important part of things is an understatement. They might not have Cena right now, but they're using Taker and Kane as part of the "old guard" in his place. They should be using guys like that to enhance the current product instead of remaining in the spotlight.

The Undertaker's family was present at Survivor Series, from his parents to his wife and children. That was a really special milestone for The Deadman. Few get that level of recognition.

Scott Hall was also at Survivor Series. There's still talk of him working backstage in NXT. Could he lead the promo class?

Dusty Rhodes' wife and one of his daughters were visiting at Survivor Series, too. It was cool to see Stardust vs. Goldust again.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
There was a high level of security at Survivor Series following the rumors of a threat of a terrorist attack. I'm glad the show went off without a hitch as far as that was concerned.

Edge and Christian will be hosting their own show on the WWE Network. That could be a lot of fun if they recreate the old magic, but I don't know how much is left to squeeze out of that act. I've loved watching them both, but I'm taking a wait-and-see approach.

Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels have been announced as future guests on Stone Cold's podcast on the WWE Network. Both should be great on the show.

Cesaro recently underwent surgery to deal with shoulder issues. More on this in the days to come. It's a shame that another incredibly talented performer is on the shelf for WWE. They're looking at a perfect storm of bad news right now.

For my take on Sunday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. It was entirely possible he'd be at Raw but not be part of Raw. I think they need a gameplan if they're going to use him on the main roster. It's not a bad idea if they push him like a former World Champion instead of some jabroni from an indie promotion.

2. I'm all for pushing buttons if there's a reason to push them. This was just a desperate, last-minute attempt to get heat on Paige after her second heel turn in two years. I do think at least Ric should have been consulted, if not Reid's mother as well if they could reach out to her in time. Although, Charlotte's a grown woman and Reid's part of her family, too. Let's not discount that.

3. She'd get a one-way ticket to Heat City. I think they could very well bury her. Then again, who knows? Vince might have seen it as gutsy knowing him. "Grabbing the brass ring" and all that.

4. That's his character, for better or worse.

5. They definitely have a great opportunity to really make some changes! I don't think they'll try to completely reinvent the wheel (nor should they), but I'd definitely be putting together a plan to start some real changes. They could put together some building blocks now so that by the week after WM32, the show is something people really want to see.
