Superstars Reax - 11/20/15, Interview with Landis, ROH invades home of TNA, Strong update, more on TNA's new TV home and what it means, ROH names pulled from indie show, Network hits another big mark, Styles-NXT rumorkiller, wrestling tournaments ranked, Smackdown audience, and Questions on ROH's production values, tag team match rules, the Radicalz, X-Pac as champ, and the Charlotte angle

Superstars:
- Brie vs. Naomi:
I think Naomi's an underrated worker.

Not bad at all from one-third of Team B.A.D.

That was pretty good overall.

Funny stuff from Bo as always. He's found a nice niche for himself.

- Titus vs. Bo:
Funny stuff with Bo and Darren at ringside.

Nice match overall.

Everything else from Friday is after the break.
Screenwriter Max Landis talked about the state of female representation in wrestling and more:
- I'm split on "Total Divas." It opens up WWE to a new audience and hopefully shows how difficult working there is, but I do think it forwards negative stereotypes of who they are.

- I do think WWE dropped the ball on the characters of Sasha and Becky by just putting them in a big clustermess angle with no clear end goal.

- The Bellas had meaningful roles in the Bryan/Authority angle.

- I think in some ways saying the Divas have their own space on the show is like saying tag teams have their own place on the show. It's kind of the nature of the beast of having your own division.

- I had to look up Valentine's comments. They were hilariously out of touch with what the business is in 2015.

- How many people even listened to Valentine's comments? I agree with Landis' comments about what's damaging to women's wrestling. Heck, that's all true for anyone on the show!

- As great as Rock is, is he the most successful wrestler ever? He's almost certainly the most mainstream if that's the barometer we're measuring with.

- I think Mark Henry or R-Truth could have been champion when they were both going for the gold. It's interesting no one ever mentions how many Latino WWE/World Champions there have been when alleging racism...

- I think it's great that they can have Darren Young be a gay character in wrestling without that being his main character trait. He's a wrestler who happens to be gay. That shouldn't have any bearing on whether I should want to see him win or lose matches.

ROH taped TV at the former TNA Asylum, for whatever that's worth. I doubt it was any kind of jab at TNA, but who knows?

Roderick Strong was cleared for TV following his concussion. I suspect he'll be important to them going forward.

Cheeseburger pulled a Finn Balor outside the TNA offices. It was funny when Finn did it. Now it's just bandwagoning.

TNA's deal with Pop TV is to air Impact Wrestling for multiple years. We'll see how that pans out given the deal with DA. I hope it goes well for both sides.

TNA plans to do more tours and TV tapings in 2016, which has got to be good news for talents concerned they weren't getting to work enough dates. Things are looking up, at least for now.

The Jan. 5 episode of Impact Wrestling will be live, although the location of the next TV taping after India is unknown. A return to New York City was expected, but that might no longer be the plan.

A scheduled indie bout between ROH's War Machine and All Night Xpress was canceled due to low ticket sales. There's no truth to the rumors of them refusing to wrestle or anything of that sort.

Dixie Carter denied the persistent rumor regarding her sending an angry email to Discovery executives. I doubt that will be the end of the story, but she did at least comment on it.

The WWE Network is now in the top five streaming services. That's a good sign! The Network is going to be  big part of things for them in the years to come.

Despite rumors to the contrary, AJ Styles was not at the most recent NXT taping. He was in Japan ahead of a scheduled booking. While I think AJ being in NXT could be good for both sides, it's not happening at the moment.

YES Network looked at the best tournaments in wrestling. Nice shoutout to Vacant being the WWE and TNA Champion at that time.

Smackdown's audience last week was 2.23 million. The show remains in something like a slump, like WWE as a whole really.

For my take on Friday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I think it's telling how much more high-tech WWE's equipment is compared to ROH's that people think ROH isn't even in HD. Maybe once ROH is on Comet, Sinclair will care more about its production value.

2. I just think they need to enforce the rules more! Save tornado rules for more crazy hardcore brawls.

3. WCW shot itself in the foot so many times, especially in its last few years. The Monday Night War was WCW vs. itself as much as it was WCW vs. WWF.

4. I think the idea was that Kane didn't "need" the title. He was over as a monster heel already and was better as an antagonist than the person holding the belt. I can't say I disagree. As for X-Pac, he was a talented guy, but I wouldn't say he should have held the top title given the other really talented people wrestling then.

5. It's that old school "make the heels as despicable as possible" mindset. I doubt it made people boo Paige as much as it made them dislike WWE for going that route, but maybe I'm wrong and it did build heat for the title match.

More wrestling later on.
