New Surivior Series match, Flair on Raw angle, Goldust update, TNA talking to former WCW Champion, TNA-TV negotiations update, NXT main event official for London, ROH-NJPW update, and Questions on using celebrities in wrestling, NXT names in the Rumble, Baron Corbin, Vince on commentary, and a continuity editor for WWE

WWE has added a five-on-five elimination match to Survivor Series. The participants will be announced on Smackdown. That's pretty underwhelming. Elimination matches should mean something.

Ric Flair discussed the recent angle on Raw referencing his son's passing. It's still a raw subject, but there's no heat between himself and WWE. He'll still be at Survivor Series. I wouldn't blame him for being upset. I don't think anyone would.

Goldust was present at this week's WWE TV tapings. It'll be interesting to see if he gets another run or if he gets slotted as a producer or something instead. I think he'd be a great hand in NXT personally.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Golbderg confirmed in a recent interview he's been contacted by TNA. Honestly just having him spear Bram would probably be enough. Whether TNA would actually throw that much money at him and what effect it would have in 2016 is unknown, but it's intriguing to talk about.

Update: TNA has reached out to a number of other prominent names in the wrestling world. I think they're willing to do just about anything to keep "their spot" in the U.S. at this point.

TNA was in negotiations with WGN America recently, as they were before coming to DA. More on their TV status tomorrow. Let's just say things are looking up for them with a new home.

Finn Balor vs. Samoa Joe for the NXT Championship is official for Takeover: London. NXT is putting on some really impressive matches. Who's coming in next?

ROH will tour Japan on Feb. 19-20, right before their 14th anniversary show. You know Meltzer's excited.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Using people from outside the wrestling world is designed to get non-wrestling fans to potentially watch, something necessary for the medium to grow and make money. The diehards will pretty much watch no matter what.

2. The Orlando crowd would pop for the NXT names, but a lot of people wouldn't know them. Stick to Zayn (hopefully) and MAYBE one more if there's room.

3. Corbin works quite well as a heel, and it seems like a natural fit for him.

4. Pretty much all I know about Vince as a commentator is WHAT A MANEUVER!! and THAT'S GOTTA BE KANE!!

5. In theory, it'd be great to add to the product. In practice, I wonder how many fans care THAT much.

More wrestling tomorrow.
