Wrestling book notes, matches set for NXT in London, ROH name finishing up?, ROH guest commentator, ROH office name leaving, TNA+ROH audiences, NXT London start time, and Questions on Abyss-WWE, Paragon Pro Wrestling, NJPW's style, what if NXT matched WWE's hours of TV, and SoCal Val-WWE

New books have been released about the history of Louisville (with Jim Cornette) and the history of NJPW. It's great there are a lot of books out there about wrestling; that definitely wasn't always the case.

Here's footage from The Undertaker on The Tonight Show. That was pretty funny. There are few people who have the kind of legacy Taker has, so it's good to see him get some mainstream respect.

WWE's European tour is said to be quite successful so far, which has raised morale for those working the events.

Baron Corbin vs. Apollo Crews is official for NXT Takeover:London. That's a very big stage for both men. I hope they deliver; both could be valuable on the main roster in the future (in different roles).

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Maria Kanellis' ROH contract ends at the end of the year. The Kingdom would really be missing something without her. I don't see her jumping ship with her husband wrestling for ROH, but it's possible she wants to focus on school.

Jerry Lynn could be doing commentary for ROH next month in Nashville. That makes sense with Steve Corino's angle.

ROH's marketing manager is finishing up with the company due to getting other opportunities in his hometown. He was highly-touted and well-liked, so he'll be missed. I hope they can do good things without him, particularly if they're off national TV for a while.

Impact Wrestling drew 277,000 for its first airing and 97,000 for its replay. That's up from the previous week.

ROH this week got 172,000 viewers for its showing on DA. We should be finding out soon if the show's doing well enough to keep on past the initial 26-week commitment. This was week 24.

NXT Takeover: London will air at 8 p.m local time on Dec. 16, so 3 p.m. EST. A pre-show will precede it by half an hour.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I agree with their analysis here. TNA looked like it had a really bright future after securing a deal on Spike. There was potential for it to be a success, so I can't say I really blame Abyss for staying based on the info he had then. On something of a tangential note, I wouldn't mind Abyss having a run in WWE when his current contract is up. It might be best to utilize him in NXT or as a monster hoss, but there are potential uses for him. He remains a valuable part of TNA due to his longevity there.

2. I can't add much other than it also features WWE alum Gangrel and TNA alum Joey Ryan. Definitely watch a few episodes to make your own judgment.

3. That's definitely the dominant style there, for better or worse. It won't change overnight unless it "has" to.

4. I think they nailed it. Any roster and creative team would get burned out doing as much content as the main roster does in a week. I'd think having a "soft" brand split could help with that. In other words, some backstage people could just focus on a few angles that hit one big story note a week instead of having the same characters appear on Raw, Smackdown, etc..

5. I'd think WWE would have picked her up by now if they were interested. She was just there visiting.

More wrestling tomorrow.
