Ryder injury update, NXT preview, learn with The Dragon, more WWE music, WWE chairs coming, last stand for the Dudleys?, more NXT in Texas, live event press, Neville press, live TNA PPV coming, Universal Title match set for Rumble, and Questions on Breezango's lack of a push, Hogan's Gawker case being a work, Eva's in-ring future, pushing Ziggler, and Tye in the Rumble

Zack Ryder will miss significant time due to his knee injury. Sorry to hear that. I hope he's back sooner rather than later.

Set for this week's NXT:
- The Authors of Pain vs. Johnny Vandal/Anthony Bowens
- Bille Kay vs. Daria Berenato
- #DIY vs. The Revival
- Bobby Roode vs. Andrade "Cien" Almas vs. Tye Dillinger vs. Roderick Strong to determine the No. 1 Contender for the NXT Championship at Takeover: San Antonio.

Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat will be doing a training seminar in Connecticut on January 21.

WWE has released a new theme music collection. Jim Johnston is definitely HOF-worthy at some point.

WWE is releasing a line of Superstar-related chairs. I believe they're chairs for gaming. That should be interesting.

D-Von Dudley has worked his final independent match before joining WWE full-time as a producer. That could end up being his last wrestling match. Bubba's definitely going to keep wrestling for the time being. I assume the Dudleys will end up in the Hall of Fame at some point, as they should.

NXT will hit Texas for shows on January 26 and 27 before Takeover on the 28th.

A recent Smackdown live event got press. AJ and Cena will be back in action soon.

Neville was profiled in the UK. I'm pleasantly surprised with his return; he needed a change in direction.

TNA will air a live One Night Only PPV on January 6, following a semi-live edition of Impact the night before. Then there will be several more days of taping. I assume that ONO show will mostly be fairly meaningless action in the grand scheme of things, but they might set up a match or two the night before like they did last time.

Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns will face off for the WWE Universal Championship again at Royal Rumble. This time, Chris Jericho will be suspended above the ring in a shark cage a la Paul Ellering. I'm split on that one, since we've already seen Owens and Reigns work with each other a good deal. I assume they're saving Owens vs. Y2J for WM33. We'll see.

After Raw, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns fought with Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens, leading to Jericho being raised in the shark cage. After the cage was brought back down, Rollins and Reigns ended the night by putting both men in the cage and having it raised. Crazy stuff.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. A dancer and a male model being a comedy act is punishment? Smackdown has the Wyatts and Usos as top heels. There's no way I'd push Breezango above either of those acts, so they're just kind of hanging out in the undercard. I like the team, but I don't think they're being misused.

2. Don't work yourself into a shoot, brother. Hulk catching himself on tape saying racial slurs and having sex with his best friend's wife would be a pretty unlikely scenario. While seemingly anything can happen in 2016, it doesn't look like they pulled off a big work.

3. Honestly given how small the Smackdown women's division is she should probably at least step in the ring here and there. It'd be good to have her work live events or at the performance center in order to improve.

4. Here's the thing: while Ziggler fans apparently will "consider subscribing" to see him in a main event, WWE wants to get fans who will definitely subscribe to see their main events. Ziggler's an amazing athlete, but can he get fans' attention for more than "he works hard and takes crazy bumps"? That's what separates an IC-level guy from someone WWE will regularly feature in the main event.

5. That would be hilarious! I don't know if it's time for him to become a regular member of the main roster, but that would be a fun moment in the Rumble.

More wrestling tomorrow.
