UK legend to WWEPC, 205 Live update, big UK announcement soon?, Steph appearance, Raw Talk returns, Kickoff match set, more on Booker's future, Tribute hype, New Day book coming, Raw audience, NJPW to the U.S., Smackdown visitor, Smackdown dark match, Cena return set, and Questions on the Rumble winner's title match, potential WM33 matches, promoting Tye, Gallagher as champion, and why we see the same matches a lot

UK legend Johnny Saint is joining the WWE Performance Center for six months as a trainer. That will be a good learning experience for the developmental talents.

205 Live will go live again next week. Tribute to The Troops caused a shift in the schedule. The production team has a LOT of content to do on Mondays and Tuesdays, and an increasing number of Sundays. They're warriors, too.

Triple H, William Regal, and Finn Balor will appear in London Thursday for a media appearance. There could be (a) big announcement(s) coming this week for the UK.

Stephanie McMahon appeared in a video with YouTube star Lilly Singh. WWE's trying to continue to break digital ground as television ratings remain tepid.

Raw Talk will follow Sunday's Roadblock event. I'm going to assume that's going to be a regular thing following brand-centric specials like those.

Big Cass vs. Rusev will take place on the Roadblock Kickoff show. I'm a little surprised that's the match that got bumped to that spot. I wonder if we'll get a filler cruiserweight tag match, too.

Booker T. released a statement regarding running for mayor of Houston in 2019. I'm only going to cover how this affects his life as a wrestler and a WWE employee. Certainly I don't expect him to leave the company in the near term, but we'll see what happens as that timeframe approaches.

WWE did quite a bit of local press and work ahead of Tribute to the Troops. It's an important show for the company.

New Day will release a self-help book in time for Wrestlemania 33 called "The Book Of Booty: Shake It. Love It. Never Be It." That should be pretty entertaining, although I wonder how much longer the act will be fresh with some of its central themes. "Jabronis" and "pie" got old after a while. I don't want to see New Day head that way yet.

Raw Monday night drew 2.76 million viewers, notably down from previous weeks. The end of the year can be pretty slow before things heat up for the build to the Rumble.

NJPW is looking to run a number of shows in the United States in 2017, possibly including part of the G1 Climax tournament. That could certainly be a big venture for the company. They're a bigger player in the world of wrestling than TNA or ROH.

- NJPW is looking at running near Los Angeles in July.

Ricky Steamboat was backstage at Smackdown.

Neville beat Curtis Axel in a dark match before Smackdown. Kind of odd they did a Raw match before Smackdown, but Raw has a bigger roster of people they don't use on TV, so I guess it's fitting.

John Cena will return to WWE TV on the December 27 Smackdown. I expect he'll hop right back into an important role when he does.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I hope the winner gets to choose which champion they want to face, as was done in the previous brand extension. It adds some intrigue to what the match result means. Like, what if Finn Balor wins and challenges AJ Styles?

2. All of them make sense and could be big deals if built well. I don't think anyone expects Show vs. Shaq to be a technical classic, but hopefully it will get some curious viewers to check out the WWE Network/come out to the event. Strowman vs. Reigns could also be a big spectacle and an all-out brawl. The other two would definitely be great matches.

3. Tye's biggest asset is effectively getting other guys over while retaining credibility. Now he's starting to build some momentum of his own. I don't think it's time to call him up, since I don't think he'd be worthy of a big push. I'd rather him keep building up a following to where people are really excited to see what he does on a bigger stage.

4. I'm really enjoying his work and would have no complaints about him becoming champion at some point.

5. The rosters are only so big, and there's a lot of TV time to fill. When something "works," WWE sticks with it as long as possible because there are only so many feuds they can do after the brand extension. I think that's the primary issue: how many hours of content they have to provide.

More wrestling tomorrow.
