Impact Wrestling Reax - 10/26/17

Read on for my thoughts on last night's Impact Wrestling.

- EC3/J. Storm vs. Phantasma/Texano:
Wow. We're going to see how much staying together for the sake of Impact means to EC3 and Storm.

I'm liking this so far.

Storm and EC3 can be quite the duo when they have a common goal.

This is going pretty well, so far.

Umm... what? Texano turning on Phantasma was out of nowhere.

Sloppy work as things break down.

Ehhhh.... I wasn't crazy about that one. I guess the story at BFG will be which team implodes first.

- Eli/Dutch:
Wow, Drake. Way to screw over the company by not making promotional appearances. They've got tickets to sell!

- Dutch/D'Amore/Cornette:
Ha. I don't know if it's the best idea to portray Impact behind-the-scenes as being so chaotic.

I'm interested to see where things go with the world title. Impact and Alberto are both viable champions.

I wouldn't be shocked if the BFG main event is a giant clustermess. That would be vintage Impact.

- oVe vs. B. Banks/Atlas:
It'd be bad if oVe lost the titles to a team that's not even part of Impact.

oVe worldwide continues!!

- Moose/Bonnar promo:
Impact right now feels like a bunch of separate elements/companies thrown together with all the crossover.

- More Eli:
Oh come on, Eli. This is an opportunity to get more attention and press! What's the point of being the world champion of a company that only draws a few hundred fans if you can improve that audience?

- Eddie vs. Naomichi:
Oh, I'm enjoying this already.

This is pretty solid. Both men working hard.

Good GOD what a dive from Eddie. That was insane.

Both men absolutely putting it all on the line here.

Eddie is really smooth.

Not bad at all! Glad to see this kind of match on the show.

- oVe promo:
This angle's getting a bit overexposed with all the vignettes and matches on the road and such.

- Eli/McKenzie:
This again. It feels like they're stretching the show out lately. I guess that happens when you try to tape that much footage at once.

- LVN in the crowd:
That's one way to get attendance up!!

- Petey vs. Idris vs. TARIK vs. Kaito:
Impact Wrestling featuring BCW, AAA, The Crash, America's Top Team, Pro Wrestling NOAH, WrestlePro, and Imperial Wrestling Revolution. There's a point where it ceases to be one promotion and becomes a hodgepodge.

I imagine we'll see BCW names when Impact tapes footage in Ottawa.

- Drake/Adonis vs. Impact/Garza:
I love Eli using Chris as his fall guy.

Good match so far.

Impact flying as he does best.

Garza's act is getting a little old. Especially as someone involved in the title picture right now.

Mostly fun work.

NICE superplex!!

Also what does it say that the world champion isn't in the main event?

Impact has great fire. The company's lucky to have him.

Haha. Good enough ending to keep things moving toward BFG.

- Trevor video:
I could use a break from Mexico segments.

- Trevor vs. U. Ninja:
So, the tag title is defended in Canada, the X-Division title is defended in Mexico, and another wrestler fights for a title in Japan... all in one show!

Mostly fine work.

Ninja's pretty flashy.

Not bad to keep things moving along. Clearly there's not much of an overarching plan for this division.

- Mo video:
I still think it's funny King Mo will FINALLY make his in-ring debut so long after his initial appearances.

- Lashley vs. Moose:
I like both these guys a lot. This is definitely a more believable world title match than Eli vs. Impact.

I'm liking Dan Lambert.

Moose is one hell of an athlete. I'm constantly impressed.

Lambert is a natural!!

This is pretty good.

Ha. Nice work to continue the build to BFG.

- Post-match:
ATT and LAX need to have a big faceoff given all the tactics both sides make use of.

I like Moose going on a tear.

A cage match is fitting for the MMA guys.

More wrestling coming up.
