Smackdown and 205 Live Reax - 10/24/17

Read on for my thoughts on last night's Smackdown and 205 Live.

-- Smackdown:
- Shane/Sami:
Looks like he's 100% after Hell in a Cell.

This brings back memories of the WWF vs. WCW Survivor Series in 2001.

Glad they explained why Shane let Raw use AJ.

Shane is pretty devious. He's definitely a McMahon!

It's weird to see Sami as a heel, but at least it's a new direction.

Shane vs. Sami would be fun. Obviously I just want to see Shane in action more.

Haha Sami acting like he and Kevin are doing Shane a favor working Survivor Series.

Sami as a heel is alright so far.

Um, yeah, Shane needs every talent at his disposal to be a threat to Raw.

I'm looking forward to Sami vs. Orton.

- New Day backstage:
That was really stupid, but in a hilarious way.

- Xavier/Kofi vs. Gable/Shelton:
Nice start from solid athletes.

Gable's impressive.

Pretty good work from everyone so far.

That was all pretty good. I liked the finisher well enough, but I miss Grand Amplitude.

- Bryan/women:
HAHAHAHAHAHA LANA BLOWN THE FUCK OUT.

It seems like a weird idea to have all your team members fight each other!

- Fashion Dogs:
I love The Ascension trying to latch onto Breezango.

Ellsworth's gotten a lot out of the "no chin" thing.

I mean, that IS a briefcase.

Ohhhh they finally had a bad comic moment with Ellsworth's underwear.

- Bryan/Shane:
Interesting. Bryan didn't know about Shane's plans. Could we see some friction there? It's not a bad idea depending on the followup.

- Corbin vs. Cara:
Baron's probably at his best when he's dominating smaller wrestlers.

Cara bringing everything he has to throw Corbin off his game.

Cara flying around here.

Ehhhhhh. OK enough, but nothing amazing.

- Post-match:
At least Baron can beat up guys like Sin Cara.

- Jinder/Singhs/AJ:
Nice nod to Heyman's role.

Glad to see Jinder stick up for himself.

Yeah, no one buys Jinder beating Brock. He'll need 1.3 billion people in his corner to stand a chance.

- AJ vs. Sunil:
The Bodied-wood Boys.

Yeah, AJ making quick work of Sunil.

- Sami/Owens:
Glad Kevin's back.

Oooh. Kevin vs. Shinsuke should be good.

Mostly fun segment.

- Jinder/Singhs/Bryan:
Samir's brave!

- Charlotte vs. Tamina vs. Becky vs. Naomi vs. Carmella:
I do like Tamina's power.

Haha. Carmella's pretty fun.

This is good so far.

Imagine actually losing to a Bronco Buster.

Good to see Naomi doing what she does best.

This is heating up well!

Nice work here.

Pretty good match overall!

- B. Bros:
These two are something else.

Mostly good.

- Ziggler/Roode:
Dolph tries way too hard to give an "I'm way too cool for this" attitude. He should join Bullet Club or something.

Mehhhhh.

I'm good with another match between these two.

Not a great segment, but it did a good job setting up a match.

- Sami vs. Orton:
Good work to start.

Zayn's growing on me as a heel.

These two work together pretty well.

Sami still doing impressive moves as a heel.

This feels weird given how each man works in the ring. Sami's flashy work goes better for a face, while Orton wearing people down works better as a heel.

Nice elevated DDT counter.

Sami's agility is always amazing.

I liked the exploder spot.

Good RKO counter. This is going pretty well.

I figured Sami wasn't going to be able to beat Randy clean.

Hahaha Randy using the ref being distracted to his own advantage.

Good work overall.

- Shane/Bryan:
I'm surprised we didn't see the Raw names show up to respond, but it could be they're planning something after being surprised Monday night.

-- 205 Live:
- Swann/Cedric vs. Noam/Nese:
Good mat work to start.

Good teamwork from the faces.

This is pretty smooth.

I always like the "legs bouncing off the ropes after a snap mare/suplex/whatever" spot.

Nese's exercises always crack me up.

Hahahah I liked Noam getting in on it, too.

Nice work so far.

This is going well.

Good ending sequence!!

- Post-match:
Oooohhhh.... this is a nice twist in things.

Gallagher's heel turn has been pretty well done.

That was pretty good from Jack.

Nice segment overall.

- Gulak/Gran:
I'm also upset we didn't get the PowerPoint at TLC.

Who's in charge of this show anyway? They don't really have a GM. Who's to sat Gulak can't just go all night talking about Drewtopia?

- Gulak vs. Gran:
Nice start.

I love Gran's flying here and there.

Gulak is consistent with the "no flying" thing.

Metalik is pretty impressive.

I'm liking this.

Good ending!!

- Post-match:
Oh, wow. Drew's pretty upset about the PowerPoint thing.

- Kalisto interview:
Blah blah blah. He's not very interesting.

- Enzo/Ariya:
I hope Enzo has people do his intro each week on the way to Survivor Series. This is great.

Fun stuff.

- Enzo vs. Kalisto:
Enzo's doing the cowardly heel thing perfectly.

Oh ouch. Kalisto took a tough bump on the apron.

This is mostly good.

That superplex would have been pretty insane.

This is going pretty well.

Haha Enzo just getting the heck out of there.

I would have popped for Kalisto losing via countout after chasing Enzo.

HAHAHHAHAHAHA good work, Enzo!

- Post-match:
Kalisto mad as hell.

Enzo has been a lot of fun so far.

More wrestling coming up.
