Top WWE exec in India, remembering Russell, Interviews with AJ Lee/Cena, another Impact departure, WWE name needs another surgery, WWN updates, Alberto back in MMA promotion, wrestling book updates, Rey to be honored, Smackdown audience, WWE part-timer schedule updates, Cody on big NXT announcement, and Questions on plans for the WWE Title, best geographic area for wrestling, Roman "retiring" Taker and Cena, Cena's future reception, and re-casting Kane

Triple H was recently in India to promote WWE's December tour there. That's an important loop for the company.

Big Show is part of a new ad for Tide alongside NASCAR's Matt Kenseth. He's trying to branch out into acting as his wrestling career winds down, so I expect more in that area as time goes on.

PWInsider collected Lance Russell videos to commemorate his passing.

AJ Lee discussed mental health issues with Chicago magazine. She was very open about her experiences with bipolar disorder in her autobiography.

Jerry Lawler will miss this weekend's New York Comic Con in order to attend Lance Russell's funeral service. Tommy Dreamer will appear at NYCC panels in his place.

- Lawler discussed working with Russell in detail on his most recent podcast episode.

Eddie Kingston is no longer part of Impact, as his contract has expired. We'll see if he pops up elsewhere; he had tried out for NXT before joining Impact.

Jeff Hardy has undergone successful shoulder surgery. He's expected to miss between six and nine months. That's a tough break after finally making it back to WWE.

WWNLive.com will stream EVOLVE, ACW, and Shine events this month after the Flosports deal fell through.

Style Battle is on hiatus due to the Flosports situation; it could be several months before another event takes place.

WWN will not be running any events in November, instead returning in early December. There were plans to do events Survivor Series weekend, but the venue they were going to use was damaged by Hurricane Harvey. Rather than run the events in Florida instead, it was decided to hold off shows a few more weeks. So, there will be a six week period with no shows from the company. Without Flosports paying to put on so many events, they're cutting back on things.

EVOLVE is expected to continue as a brand despite the recent "The End" video. I'm sure things will be different going forward, however.

Alberto El Patron is back working with Combate Americas. He had previously distanced himself to focus on his wrestling career.

John Cena recently said he won't officially retire. I definitely expect him to continue working in WWE for years to come. as his schedule allows.

Jeff Hardy will undergo a second surgery next week for a torn labrum. I hope that clears everything up with him.

Mick Foley will go on a signing tour for "Saint Mick," his latest book, later this month.

New Day's book has been delayed to March in order to tie in with WM34. I think that would have been a bigger hit before now; New Day's not quite what they used to be.

A Rey Mysterio museum will be part of Expo Lucha next year. That's impressive.

Smackdown drew 2.32 million viewers this week, a notable drop from last week.

John Cena is no longer advertised for Survivor Series, but is set for the post-Christmas loop in New York. He's going to be very busy very soon.

Brock Lesnar is advertised for Survivor Series, as well as the October 23 Raw. No word on Brock's next opponent yet.

Cody commented on NXT bringing back War Games for Takeover:Houston. I'm glad he's OK with it.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. They're building Jinder's reign. Right now the endgame is getting over in India. That could change as it's time to make plans for WM34, though.

2. That's a tough one! Texas, Florida, and Samoa all have some claim there.

3. With Taker and Cena being done as full-time wrestlers, it was the right move to try to build someone else up to their level. Another instance of people complaining when the company does get behind a wrestler after complaining the company doesn't get behind wrestlers. I expect he might "retire" Brock at WM34 as well to further cement Roman as THE GUY.

4. It depends on what his next appearances are like. If he's there to "have a four-star match," some of his detractors will cheer, although a lot will boo anything WWE pushes just to show that even though they're at a WWE show, they're way too cool to like WWE.

5. The obvious joke is Luke Gallows. I do wonder if any of those talents could pull off the range Jacobs has in the role, though. The business is about more than having good matches.

More wrestling tomorrow.
