Smackdown and 205 Live Reax - 10/3/17

Read on for my thoughts on last night's Smackdown and 205 Live.

-- Smackdown:
- Renee/Nakamura/Singhs/Jinder:
This feud has been REALLY bad in the last few weeks.

Nakamura isn't really a compelling promo.

At least Jinder isn't cutting another awful promo.

The Singhs get a lot of ass-kickings.

Good assist from Sunil and Samir.

- Natalya/Carmellsworth:
Ehhhhh. That wasn't great.

- Carmella/Natalya vs. Charlotte/Becky:
I like the Horsewomen teamwork.

I like this well enough.

Carmella cracks me up.

The action here is going well.

HA. Carmella making the most of her status as Ms. MITB.

That was good to set up Sunday.

- Roode vs. Mike Kanellis:
Wow. Kanellis back in action only to get sonned by the former NXT Champion.

- Ziggler/Roode:
Ziggler's angle is ALMOST as bad as Jinder's.

This is SO terrible.

I'm ready for Bobby to beat him and send him back to OVW or something.

Roode is a lot more than an entrance. He's a top guy in the making.

- Usos/New Day:
I like the seriousness of the twins.

I do think Jey and Jimmy have made their mark in the tag team division.

Nice plug for New Day merch.

Nice remark about rights and lefts.

This is good.

Haha clever remark about Day One Ish.

- Jinder promo:
Oh, no. There's more.

I'm ready for this one to end, too.

- Files update:
A lot of people expect Harper & Rowan to be involved in the end of the Fashion Files. They're not doing anything else, and New Day will need some fresh opponents.

- Dillinger vs. Corbin:
I'm glad Tye's getting regular TV time, for now.

Tye has more finesse, but Corbin's tough.

Dillinger is doing better than I expected.

Corbin seems to be getting better.

Wow. Nice win for Tye.

- Styles promo:
Oooooh. Burning the Lone Wolf.

Remember when Corbin was going to be a big deal? So much for that.

- More Warriors:
WWE has really made use of Dana for PR purposes.

- Rusev/Orton:
I like this version of Rusev. He's pretty entertaining.

- Orton vs. English:
It's just a matter of time before Aiden gets RKO'd.

NICE ending. That was a cool spectacle.

- Post-match:
Rusev will have to wait until Sunday...

- Zayn/Shane:
Nice Watchmen reference. That match should be pretty crazy.

- Shane/Owens:
Shane's pretty happy for a guy whose 72-year-old dad was busted open on live TV a few weeks ago.

Shane's motivated.

This has been built really well.

Falls Count Anywhere Hell in a Cell is interesting.

I like Owens' blatant disrespect.

HAHAHA that burial of Denver. Owens is pretty good with those kinds of digs.

Oh yeah, this is a good preview of what should be an insane match.

I assume the arena has to sign off on this kind of thing happening beforehand.

Oh, wow. So much for fans buying merch after the show!

Wow. Pretty brutal promo from Kevin.

Owens willing to put his boss' health in grave jeopardy.

Shane has guts, but Kevin's more than willing to dish out more punishment.

I love how they just keep destroying each other.

Shane is willing to take some serious punishment.

This is a lot of fun.

Nice way to end the show. I hope they know what they're doing with the booking of that match. They've potentially got a big moment for Owens that night.

-- 205 Live:
- Kalisto/Enzo:
Mehhhhh. I didn't care much about Kalisto on Raw, so I don't see much reason to care now.

I love how Enzo just destroys everyone. It's refreshing in a world where we're constantly told "workrate" matters more than personality, merch sales, etc.

Enzo just scorching everyone. 205 Live NEEDED this man, badly.

- Kalisto vs. Ariya:
Fine work early, but it's not like Kalisto stands out on this show.

Ariya adds a nice balance to this roster.

Daivari having Salida Del Sol scouted was good.

I'd rather Kalisto counter the frog splash than kick out. I wish that move was protected.

Good ending.

- Gulak/Mustafa/Tozawa:
He's determined to make this movement happen.

Gulak's making the most of this.

Fun enough.

- Gulak vs. Mustafa:
Nice matwork to start.

Haha. Neither Akira nor Mustafa are following the Powerpoint!

This is going pretty well.

I'm liking how these two are working together.

That was pretty fun.

- Post-match:
Tozawa is more over for one sound than some people are after entire promos.

- Kendrick/Cedric:
I like Brian drawing comparisons to Enzo.

Good for Cedric to get the first strike in tonight.

- Gallagher vs. Cedric:
I like the hot start.

Jack's mean streak is good.

I like how this is going so far.

Both men doing pretty well so far.

Cedric's fired up.

Gallagher might NEED William's help. Alexander's putting up a fight!

Nice ending. It was a change of pace.

- Post-match:
Cedric is showing they messed with the wrong guy.

Wow. Alexander's taking the fight to him.

That was a pretty good ending to set up more from everyone.

More wrestling coming up.
