Assorted wrestling press, Dynamite meet and greet, WWE abandons trademark, AEW name written off, MLW-AAA show dated, MLW streaming update, more on NXT signing, next AEW PPV announced, Backstage audience, Interviews with Naomi+Bianca+Ember/Murphy/Aron+Question Mark/Melina, Fox earnings hurt by SD, SCOH adds title match, and Questions on AEW getting a Super Bowl ad, WWE showing crowd reactions, Cody challenging for the AEW World Title, Hogan's last WWE match, and small packages ending matches

Bianca Belair was on The Bump this week.

Matt Hardy received a YouTube button award. He does a lot on that platform.

AEW had a meet and greet with Arn Anderson, Austin Idol, and Missy Hyatt before Dynamite. All three are local to the area.

WWE has abandoned plans to trademark the name EC3. He has the name trademarked himself, which might be for the best when his contract comes due.

Awesome Kong was written out of The Nightmare Collective on AEW Dark as Luther and Mel attacked her and gave her "serious injuries." Kong is going to film Netflix's GLOW beginning in March, so this is likely a result of that.

MLW and AAA's joint Mexico show is set for March 13.

"Total Bellas" will return April 9 for its fifth season.

MLW has spoken with Amazon regarding MLW content streaming on Amazon Prime. There are other negotiations ongoing for MLW as well. Things look good for the company expanding its footprints.

Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Tyson Kidd, and Natalya will be on the next edition of "The Bump."

Sgt. Slaughter promoted WrestleMania. That explains why he was local for NXT.

NXT signee Aja Perera will be a referee for the brand under the name Aja Smith.

AEW has announced Double or Nothing 2020 for May 23 in Nevada. I expect they intend to make that venue a Memorial Day weekend destination each year.

Backstage drew 97,000 viewers this week, equal to last week.

Essence spoke to Naomi, Bianca Belair, and Ember Moon about being black women in WWE.

Buddy Murphy spoke about his Raw push and more. He has come a LONG way from his post-tag team champion days.

Fox earnings took a hit due to Smackdown's costs.

Shad Gaspard is in "Birds of Prey."

Aron Stevens and The Question Mark spoke to Chris Van Vliet. I'm glad Stevens is back in wrestling.

Melina spoke to Chris Van Vliet. I wouldn't mind seeing her have a final WWE appearance.

Supercard of Honor has added Mexisquad vs. Will Ospreay, Amazing Red, and Rocky Romero for the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championship. ROH is building that card up.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Probably not given the costs involved and how many other ads were competing for attention that night.

2. WWE really pushes the narrative of existing to get reactions from the WWE Universe, so we get a lot of crowd reaction shots.

3. I really, really wonder what they're going to do if they decide they want/need Cody as a world title contender. He could be a centerpiece player for a decade or more in theory, and even more if he transitions into being an authority figure. I would think if they change the name of the company or title at some point, it would technically be a new title and he could challenge for it. So he might never be AEW World Champion but maybe AEW Elite Champion?

4. Honestly I want to see Hogan, Nash, Hall, and X-Pac face The Singh Brothers and The B-Team or something similar. They could have some fun with those names spoofing the nWo and then bumping for them in Tampa. Bring on "Bollywood" Sunil Hogan, Samir Ramon, Bo Daddy Cool, and Axel-pac. No need to do the battle royal route unless he has a run-in as a late entrant to throw out a heel who cheated to win.

5. The finish can definitely be overused, but there are only so many ways to end a match and having it end with a variety of maneuvers means fans have to pay attention all the time because it won't necessarily come down to a "finisher."

More wrestling tomorrow.
