Interview with Regal, Regal reconnects with NJPW name, Fiend Mania update, WWE stars at Super Bowl event, Impact star on song, Shamrock's father passes, another AEW tribute, Rock hypes Super Bowl, new Mania weekend match, and Questions on why fans prefer AEW to NXT, Cody needing Arn, backstage gossip, questionable social media use, an absurd Rumble take, and The FBI

William Regal discussed the history of wrestling in Blackpool, England.

- Regal reunited with NJPW's Yuji Nagata during the U.S. tour.

Bray Wyatt indicated he's planning a monster truck entrance for WrestleMania. That could be entertaining.

Roman Reigns and Mojo Rawley were at Super Saturday Night.

Trey Miguel is featured on a song tributing Cactus Jack.

Ken Shamrock's father passed away Saturday after dealing with serious illness.

AEW will honor local wrestlers at Dynamite. Austin Idol, Doug Gilbert, and Missy Hyatt will be part of the taping in some form.

The Rock opened Super Bowl LIV by hyping both teams. I'd love to see him do that for WrestleMania.

Spring Break 4 has added Minoru Suzuki vs. Orange Cassidy. That should be memorable in one fashion or another!

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I've heard the argument that AEW has fewer restrictions than NXT and less of a pressure to conform to a certain style. The feeling is that while NXT might try to be WWE's version of what AEW's doing, it's not as authentic and original.

2. I think the argument is that after Cody lost the match with Jericho he could use guidance to have a better 2020. Or something else along those lines. Who wouldn't want Arn's guidance??

3.a. I also stay away from most of the backstage gossip stuff. It's tawdry and I couldn't care less about most of the wrestlers' private lives outside of how it intersects with their wrestling lives.

3.b. It's a case by case situation. There are people who find that kind of thing amusing/worthy of spending time following and others who use it as a reason to not follow certain talents.

4. It definitely felt ridiculous, and makes me question the journalist's credibility in other matters.

5. It looks like Mamaluke retied in 2016 other than a special 2018 return.

More wrestling tomorrow.
