MMA challenge to C.M. Punk, WWE Comics details, Interview with Roman + Dusty/Jannetty/Bryan/Y2J, Wyatt update, Show to NXT, WWE seeks new hire, more on NYCC, country star hypes WWE, Taker sighting, Smackdown audience, Bryan signing, Main Event match and Questions on WWE-Twitter, Sandow as a face, Steiner on the mic, Zeus in the HoF and Bryan vs. HHH

Jason David Frank, who played the Green Ranger on the original Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers series and is now an MMA enthusiast, has challenged C.M. Punk to an MMA bout. I would watch the hell out of that. I also want to see a WWE/Power Rangers crossover. Someone get that going.

Here are details on the upcoming WWE Comics. My money. Shut up and take it.

Here's an article about wrestling in Tampa, featuring comments from Roman Reigns and Dusty Rhodes.

Marty Jannetty talked about his outside-the-ring problems. It's crazy how different things have turned out for himself and HBK. This guy sounds like he needs some kind of help.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Bray Wyatt's been diagnosed with a deeply bruised calf muscle and will be kept out of the ring for the time being. Thankfully the gimmick can get by with him mostly talking while Harper and Rowan do the heavy lifting.

Daniel Bryan talked ahead of Hell in a Cell. I remember when Cell matches used to mean "this feud is a huge deal and they're finally going to settle it." Now it means "it's October and WWE needs to sell some PPVs." Bryan said in previous interviews that "Yes" was inspired by an MMA fighter. Bryan vs. HHH in a Cell would be awesome.

Big Show is advertised for the next NXT taping on 10/24. Presumably they can say he was scheduled for the taping before he was fired. NXT is usually pretty well received.

Stephanie McMahon will deliver a master class lecture at her alma mater Boston University on 10/24. Pretty cool.

WWE wants a Supervising Producer for the upcoming WWE Network. Maybe one day I'll get a job there. One day....

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Sgt. Slaughter, Jerry Lawler and (of course) Virgil all had booths at NYCC. I really hope Virgil starts a new chapter of his life.

Reba McIntyre promoted WWE and their breast cancer charity on her Facebook page. Nice.

Chris Jericho briefly mentioned WWE in an interview about Fozzy. I'm sure he'll pop back up at some point.

Hulk Hogan has reached out to WWE about a possible return, and is still in talks with TNA. Of course, he wants to make as much money for as few dates as possible. He could easily return to TNA shortly. At that point, I'd pretty much have to give up on them. There can only be so many "second chances".

The Undertaker and Michelle McCool were sighted at a recent boxing match. I didn't recognize McCool with black hair! I wonder how long it will be until we see the Deadman once again in WWE.

Smackdown did 2.45 million viewers this past week. That's a sharp drop from four weeks ago. WWE's just not in a great place right now business-wise.

Bruno Sammartino was a part of the Columbus Day festivities in New York City. Because Columbus is really someone to celebrate.

Update: Sammartino was part of a charity arm wrestling match.

Daniel Bryan has a signing this weekend at Wizard World in Nashville, TN. I wish he had one RIGHT HERE. In Asheville, North Carolina. *cheesy thumbs up*

Dolph Ziggler vs. Dean Ambrose for the U.S. Title is set for Main Event. I'm sure the IWC will love that one. Honestly I feel that both would benefit more from working with people with more experience. Both men have great potential, but there's still a hump for them to get over.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Pretty similar to their stance on promos it looks like. I know WWE will tell them things to post about at some points.

2. You know, maybe that would work. I thoroughly enjoy Sandow's current character, but I've never seen him work as a babyface. Who knows? Maybe it would work out. As for turning characters, I can't blame WWE at times. A face's job is to get cheered and a heel's is too get booed. If the opposite is happening, SOMETIMES it makes sense to turn them.

3. He can't be worse than the commentators on WWE's main shows. He'd have to dumb himself down for all the white trash and rednecks, since he comes from a highly-educated university. I think he should do something like RiffTrax, personally. But to humor whoever sent this: *BWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW* "GIVE ME A $%@* HEADSET. THIS FAT SUMB*TCH BRAY WYATT THINKS HE CAN GET ANY SYMPY FROM THE BIG BAD BOOTY DADDY?" To tie this in with the last question, imagine a Sandow/Steiner feud.

4. Sure! As far as celebrities go, they can and have done worse. They'll have Hornswoggle, Khali and Santino in there at some point, I bet.

5. I love how the answer had nothing to do with what was asked. It would definitely make sense to include that, though I'm not sure exactly how that'd play it.

More wrestling tomorrow.
