WWE Battleground Preview

Read on for what I'd suggest be done for tonight's Battleground PPV.

It's no secret WWE could use some momentum right now, with all the IWC complaining and ratings not being as high as they have been in the past. So let's work some magic.

Pre-show:
Great match with Ziggler going over to get fans in a buying mood. I think a Ziggler/Sandow feud could be pretty cool. Both men need "something to do" right now, so let's match them up for a while. Both men should get mic time and match time in the weeks to come so they actually seem important.

Battleground (in no particular order);
Brie beats AJ, possibly with Nikki's help. WWE needs some babyfaces with momentum right now, and it makes a good story to have Brie as Champ given her engagement. This is by no means an endorsement of her over AJ, whom I'm very high on.

Bray beats Kofi (though Kofi puts up a fight). I don't know how close we are to Kane coming back, so I don't know what to book in that regard. Maybe Bray could mention him in a post-match promo if it's coming close to him returning.

Axel should beat Truth. Axel needs to have some momentum if we're going to buy him as Champ.

Ambrose tries to interfere in The Shield match, but the anti-HHH insurgents come out to ensure a victory by Cody and Goldust. Cody should absolutely get the pin as a full-time guy. The interference protects The Shield in the loss while giving Cody momentum. I think you can eventually have The Shield take Goldust out if you don't want to use him on-screen for long.

I think I'd have Heyman cost Punk the win again to set up Punk vs. the team of Ryback, Axel and Heyman inside HIAC.

As for Real Americans vs. Khali and Santino, I'm guessing that's our lighthearted "breather" match to bring down the rollercoaster after a big moment. Zeb grabs Hornswoggle at ringside, leading to him eating a chop from Khali. Khali and Santino run the Real Americans off and celebrate in the ring in some kind of goofy comedy bit to appeal to the Little Jimmys. Blegh.

AAAALLLLBBBBEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
DEL RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO goes over The Whole F'n Show in a hardcore brawl. This should be brutal enough to write RVD off for a while. As El Patron celebrates, a video package plays advertising the return of Rey Mysterio.

All hell breaks out in Orton vs. Bryan with interference from both the pro-HHH and anti-HHH sides of the equation. This leads to Orton taking whatever the hell they're going to call Bryan's finisher. My suggestion is The Decider (since sometimes he says "Yes" and sometimes he says "No"). Yeah, someone will have a better name for sure.

More wrestling tomorrow.
