WWE returns, Hogan-TNA update, latest TNA malaise, top trainer at WWEPC, Mero speaks, Kane update, Interviews with Chavo/Angle, controversial new TNA shirt, TNA cancels at least one Impact taping and Questions on Steamboat Jr., 2nd-generation stars, title changes, Cena not being PG and piledrivers

Wade Barrett returned to the ring at a recent WWE event in Mexico. He defeated Zack Ryder with the Bull Hammer. Glad he's back. WWE could use some more names in the mix right about now.

Rey Mysterio made the save when Alberto Del Rio refused to release an armbar on Sin Cara following their match. Mysterio hasn't made his "in-ring" return yet, but is hoping to by the end of the year.

Hulk Hogan has been removed from all advertising for Bound For Glory. I'd much rather see Ethan Carter III anyway.

TNA canceled their 11/1 live event in Battle Creek, Mich. and no longer plans on holding an event near New York City next month. 2014's going to be an important year for the company financial-wise.

Olympic wrestling coach James Johnson went to WWE's performance center this week. It's obvious WWE wants their athletes well-trained. This doesn't sound anything like WCW's Power Plant, as some have compared it to.

Marc Mero did an inspirational speech at a Florida school. I wonder what he thinks of his ex-wife's current husband, BBRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKK.
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSNNNNNNNNNNAAAAAAAARRRRR.

Kane is being advertised for an 11/6 live event as part of a six-man tag alongside Cody Rhodes and Goldust. It's expected that their opponents will be the Wyatt Family. That should be fun.

Chavo Guerrero talked about Bound For Glory with someone who clearly doesn't know what a suplex looks like. I can't disagree about the travel thing.

Here's more from the recent Kurt Angle interview. It can be tough for workaholics to focus on other things, even if their health and well-being is in danger.

Update: Here's another piece of that interview. I don't necessarily think that letting talents use their own verbiage is a bad thing.

TNA has released a T-shirt for one of the top players in their current storylines: Dixie Carter. There are some seriously angry comments there! Former World Champ Chris Sabin still doesn't have a shirt, by the way. Ahh, priorities. Hey, if they can make money off of this, then great.

TNA canceled the 12/5 Impact taping in their home state of Tennessee. I bet Virgil gets more bookings than they do these days.

Tickets are no longer being sold for the 11/21 Impact taping in Maryland, so it could be canceled as well. It should be noted that there are currently no concerns of TNA going out of business/bankrupt/whatever. They're just facing financial difficulties.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
Not much to add to 1. I unfortunately never saw much of his work, so I don't know how to rate him. I was certainly curious to see what they'd do with him on the main roster. Charlotte as his manager would have been really cool. But yeah, I haven't seen anything about him in forever.

2. Not Brooke Hogan vs. Nick Hogan? I didn't hate Deuce/Snuka. In fact, I think I might have liked him a little more than Manu.

3. I know people hate hearing this, but championships are pretty much just Macguffins to move stories in the direction the bookers want them to go. They're not really earned accomplishments.

4. Twerking is just the latest thing marketing people are using to reach kids. As far as they're concerned, it's just a goofy dance. I can see how parents would be upset with him using profanity, though. It's like he's damned if he is edgy and damned if he isn't.

5. I can't blame WWE for banning the move given their new focus on avoiding concussions.

More wrestling tomorrow.
