Mark Henry has stated that he's close to returning, and is sporting a new look. The Authority better watch itself when he comes back.

AJ Styles has teased that he'll defend the TNA World Title outside of TNA. The speculation is that that could mean Wrestle-1 in Japan or AAA in Mexico, both of which I believe TNA has good relationships with. I think that's a great idea to continue the angle. If he doesn't come back in 2014, this is a great sendoff.

Here's an interview with Daniel Bryan before Hell in a Cell. Four straight WWE PPV main events? Man, he is SO being buried. He might as well quit and go to TNA. It should be noted that PWInsider is one of the chief proponents of complaining about Bryan being "buried". I don't think "Final Countdown" would be as over with the audience at large compared to the die-hard IWC fans. Most viewers won't get the reference, or care.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

C.M. Punk is a part of the DC Comics documentary "Necessary Evil", talking about the villains of that universe. I bet that's an enjoyable DVD.

"CM Skunk" from Smackdown's handicap match was Ohio indie wrestler Danny Todd. I wonder if any marks thought he had an actual chance of going over.

Ricardo Rodriguez could be off TV for a time until WWE finds a new role for him. There was talk at one point of pairing him with Rey Mysterio. But given that Mysterio hasn't returned yet and RVD's on hiatus, Ricardo doesn't have much to do. I could see him teaming with Santino or something. I don't know how much juice the El Local gimmick has.

Michelle McCool went to the ER after badly cutting her finger while attempting to slice an apple. Ouch.

John Cena was wearing a compression sleeve in order to minimize swelling and decrease impact on his surgically-repaired arm. Dwayne Wade wears something similar. I'm still shocked that he's back so soon.

Alberto Del Rio was shown during World Series of Fighting VI on NBC Sports. Del Rio took pictures with the president of WSOF, Rey Sefo. The announcer of WSOF plugged HIAC and Del Rio's match with Cena. Nice that WWE got some outside publicity.

Curtis Axel suffered a hip flexor injury on Raw. It's unknown how long he'll be out and how the IC Title situation will be affected. Axel has a good reputation as someone who works hard and has done whatever WWE has asked him to do. I mean, he survived the name Michael McGillicutty after all.

The storyline was that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon filed a restraining order barring Big Show from entering the building at HIAC. So, no run-in. Why don't they do that every time?

TNA has announced PPV tapings in the UK to add to its previously-announced Impact Wrestling tapings. These PPVs will be part of the ongoing "One Night Only" series. I wonder if we'll see the Blossom Twins compete again there? They've been pretty much MIA since they were signed. Currently neither AJ Styles, Sting nor Jeff Hardy are scheduled for those shows. Hardy didn't make the last set of UK tapings due to his criminal record, and the current contracts of both Styles and Sting are set to expire before the tapings. So it could be something of a light roster as far as big stars go.

Rey Mysterio was a part of the Spanish language Kickoff show for Hell in a Cell. REAL WRESTLERS WORK HURT, BROTHER. I wonder when he'll step foot back in the ring on TV (PPV).

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING, JACK. TNA *WAS* THE GREATEST WRESTLING COMPANY WHEN THE HULKSTER AND EASY E WERE IN CHARGE, BROTHER. WE HAD THE NASTY BOYS, SEAN MORLEY, ORLANDO JORDAN AND THE BAND ALL RUNNING WILD, DUDE. NOW THAT THE HULKSTER HAS SMARTENED UP AND IS TRYING TO TAKE HIS 24-INCH PYTHONS UP NORTH, TNA IS JUST ANOTHER INDY COMPANY WITH FLIPPY VANILLA MIDGETS, JACK.

*ahem* Pretty much anything Hulk says is a work and should be taken as such.

2. Because the entertainment aspect wasn't what Vince was pushing with Hogan, Warrior and Savage, right? Hogan had a cartoon for Christ's sake. As for the WWE Title, it's so important that HHH will blatantly screw over Bryan in order for him to not have his hands on it. It represents the "face of the company". It's not as important as it used to be because WWE has so much more TV time to fill. Hogan, Warrior and Savage weren't in the era of three-hour Raws, three weeks between some PPVs, etc. If the Super Bowl was contested as often as WWE Title matches on TV/PPV, it wouldn't be as important is it is now, either.

3. This has become IWC kayfabe I think. Bischoff did a lot of things behind-the-scenes with Spike and upgraded the look of TNA. Bischoff and Hogan weren't the only ones who wanted TNA to go on the road more often. It's something the IWC had asked for for years. But since it failed, it's blamed all on Hogan and Bischoff. As for him being a "one-hit wonder" in WCW, did he copy the idea of going head-to-head with Raw from Japan? What about Goldberg? What about giving away the results of Raw on the air? Or signing away WWF stars? Or featuring cruiserweights? Or turning Hogan heel? Was "The Crow" (basis for Sting's character) a Japanese movie? Anyone who thinks Bischoff just "got lucky off one idea" is deluding themselves.

4. I wouldn't be shocked if some in the locker room are envious. There were probably people who thought they were going to be propelled higher on the card with Cena's absence who are right back in the same place they were before he was injured.

5. Most of the audience wouldn't know who he is. It's a cool fantasy scenario, but don't get your hopes up on it happening.

More wrestling tomorrow.
