The Bella Twins were at the iHeartMusic Festival.
Samoa Joe and AJ Styles will have a contract signing on Smackdown Live. I'm sure that will go smoothly.
Jim Cornette will be doing color commentary for NWA's 70th anniversary event. Ohhhhh boy. I hope that's the right move given his temperament. It definitely raises the prestige of the show, though.
At NXT's September 22 Florida live event:
- Tony Nese lost to EC3. Nese was the only 205 Live name on the show.
- Tian Bing returned to live events, teaming with Rocky in a loss to the War Raiders. So, the Chinese prospects are still getting work here and there.
For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Probably The Big Dog given WWE's reluctance to go full throttle with his push.
2 is a repeat.
3. Is the match still going? If not, there was a finish. The finish is that it was ruled a no contest.
4. I'm honestly surprised we haven't seen him yet. It seems it will come down to when WWE thinks they can get away with it without any backlash, inside or outside of the roster.
5. He definitely deserves it, but he had some heat when he left because it was felt he was carrying himself as an on-screen talent instead of someone working backstage (who's supposed to keep a lower profile). It's ridiculous on the outside, but that's how things go inside the wrestling business sometimes.
