Expo Lucha is seeking a second event in August 2019. So there's potential for it to be an annual event.

Luke Hawx performed stunts on "The Purge." He's doing a good job getting non-wrestling work.

Hangman Page is auctioning his All In gear to support hurricane relief in North Carolina. That's awesome!

Jeff Cobb is expected to focus on NJPW and ROH once his LU commitments are fulfilled. I'm excited to see more of him. He will also be appearing on Ring Warriors at some point.

The Briscoes have passed a combined 1,000 days as ROH Tag Team Champions. They're absolutely ROH institutions.

Brock Lesnar working Crown Jewel is basically a case of the money being too good not to. This is similar to Shawn Michaels reportedly coming back to the ring that night to team with Triple H against The Undertaker and Kane. I can't blame anyone for taking that big of a pay day!

Hell In A Cell was a legitimate sellout of 12,500 fans.

Paul Orndorff put forth a GoFundMe account to pay property taxes for his house, as his savings had been depleted. Sad times.

PCO will likely be a regular for MLW. It's wild to see him utilized so much in 2018.

Alberto El Patron was considered for a lucha episode of CW's "DC Legends of Tomorrow," but it fell through.

- Alberto is focusing on Combate Americas, which limits his schedule for outside work.

OVW and Top Knotch Boxing are now under the same corporate umbrella as Gladiator Sports Network. Al Snow is the president and CEO of the new company, but the two ventures will be run separately. That's a pretty interesting development for OVW.

- Mick Foley and Dangerous Danny Davis will be at OVW 1000.

Rey Mysterio's son is now training with Lance Storm. I wonder if he'll end up at the WWEPC now that Rey has signed a deal there.

Doug Williams is looking at retiring shortly due to injuries. He just turned 46.

Johnny Impact had a dislocated elbow in early August, but has been cleared to wrestle.

205 Live will remain at its new time at least through the end of Mixed Match Challenge. It is now being taped before Smackdown Live.

NXT UK is expected to be run by PROGRESS staff, especially for live events. That's much easier than building an unaffiliated staff from the ground up.

The WWE-Impact meeting was initiated by Impact and is believed to be a pitch for WWE Network to license the Impact tape library for WWE Network. That would definitely be a big financial gain for Impact, as they're not really getting anyone else interested in spending money for their content.

Former WWE official Tim White was recently at the WWE Performance Center. I'd like to see some referees in the WWE Hall of Fame at some point.

Drake Maverick and Lio Rush being used on Raw was a Vince McMahon idea.

WWE's latest Hidden Gems, for Hispanic Heritage Month, are:
- Rey Mysterio vs. Super Calo from Nitro in 1996
- Tito Santana and Mil Mascaras vs. Demolition from WWF in 1987
- Pedro Morales vs. Blackjack Mulligan from WWWF in 1971
- Rito Romero vs. Danny Savich from 1952
-- They really dug deep into the vault for those last two

WWE's Tennessee donations were part of a deal for Kane to work Super Show-Down and Crown Jewel. He could end up working other WWE dates this Fall, as well. I'm very interested to see how he handles doing both politics and wrestling.

Nia Jax is on "My Daughter Is A WWE Superstar." She's getting a lot of representation lately.

Shawn Michaels is set for the October 1 Raw, the final episode before Super Show-Down. I'm interested how much we'll see him in the months ahead.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I don't know if it's really a change as much as a ramping up of an existing trend, but they're going to expand talent recruitment around the globe, with plans for more Performance Centers and the like. I'd absolutely like to see them use the money to boost the underperforming WWE Network, but I don't think that's a major priority. They're willing to invest more into some projects, but they're not completely revamping it like they could.

2. Kenny Omega. No doubt. He's one of the top stars in the world, and he's done it without WWE behind him. He's someone who draws money and raises the profile of everything he's involved in. That's not easy to come by.

3. I definitely miss when wrestling had more pronounced characters.

4. WWE intends her to be, but obviously a lot of fans still support her.

5. Almost definitely. It's just a matter of how it will be put together next time, as while incredibly successful, it was a massive endeavor.

More wrestling tomorrow.
