MYC and ROH Reax - 9/26/18

Read on for my thoughts on last night's Mae Young Classic and ROH.
-- MYC:
- Evers promo:
ZZZZZZZZZ.

- Hiroyo promo:
There we go. That's a promo!

- Evers vs. Hiroyo:
WOW. I haven't seen the criss cross in a long time.

I like them both so far.

This is nice!

These two work together well.

Wowwww. Good work.

- Conti promo:
I'm curious how far she'll get. They clearly like using her for international purposes.

- Elaban promo:
She's interesting. There are worse things to be!

- Conti vs. Elaban:
This is OK, but pretty basic.

Ehhhhh. Not bad, but they would have been better served with more experienced opponents and not following such a solid opener.

- Dawn promo:
Not bad!

- Matthews promo:
YESSSSS I like her arrogance.

- Dawn vs. Matthews:
Haha nice start.

Solid work early.

I like this so far.

That was pretty good overall!

- Xia promo:
She really has a lot to prove being this young AND a second-generation star.

- Io promo:
Not bad.

- Xia vs. Io:
I like Shirai's athleticism and intensity.

SQUUUUAAAAAAASSSSHHHHHHHH.

-- ROH:
- Friends vs. Boys:
This feels like kind of a filler match.

This almost makes the Friends heels.

Not bad. I just don't know if there was much point to it.

- King vs. Page:
Solid work so far.

Nice spot with the SSP.

Funny selfie stuff.

Haha I like the floaties.

These guys can be solid workers and have fun.

This heating up!

Good work!

- Cobb segment:
This is much preferable to low-level dudes having unmemorable matches. I'm ready for Cobb to have something to sink his teeth into, though.

- Lethal/Gresham vs. Bully/Silas:
Uggggghhhhhhhh. Can Cobb attack Bully next?

Yet another "everyone carry Bully" segment.

It's a real shame to see Jay have to be cut down by a man living off his reputation from years back.

Fun teamwork from the faces.

It's crazy how much better this is when Bully's role is minimized!

Gresham went from going 30 minutes with the champion to having to work with someone desperately prolonging his career. It's really sad.

More wrestling coming up.
