NJPW lineup announced, Raw matches set, Mia on recovery, Hogan in WWE opening, Stephanie's birthday, Raw guest, Tough Enough alum in WWE 2K19, former FCW worker in WOW, Big Show on SyFy show, WWN sets up WM35 event, MMC up for award, Interview with Arquette, Kofi breaks WWE record, Raw audience, Liv injured, and Questions on WWE trademarks, WWE bringing back ECW, and comparing Raw to NXT

NJPW's September 30 California show has added:
- Juice Robinson vs. Cody for the IWGP United States Championship
- KUSHIDA and Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Gedo and Jay White
- SANADA, EVIL, and Tetsuya Naito vs. Killer Elite Squad and Zack Sabre, Jr.
- Jeff Cobb, Chris Sabin, and Flip Gordon vs. Best Friends and Hirooki Goto
- SoCal Uncensored vs. Hangman Page and Chase Owens
- Jushin "Thunder" Liger, ACH, and Rysuke Taguchi vs. Rocky Romero and Roppongi 3K
-- Hopefully they time the next event better so they can announce more of a lineup before the last few days ahead of the show! There's enthusiasm for the show, but not "sell out immediately" enthusiasm.

Ronda Rousey vs. Ruby Riott and Bobby Lashley vs. Kevin Owens are set for Raw.

Mia Yim showed footage of her recovery. I hope she takes the NXT opportunity and runs with it.

Hulk Hogan is featured in WWE's new opening. So, things have at least progressed to that point in their relationship.

Stephanie McMahon got a "Happy Birthday" serenade after Raw, as well as a visit from one of the Hyundai Hope on Wheels ambassadors.

Multiple-time Mr. Olympia Phil Heath was at Raw.

Stone Cold spoke with Tough Enough alum AJ Kirsch about working on WWE 2K19.

Shaul Guerrero has signed with WOW as a ring announcer. Good to see her involved in the business still.

Big Show will be on SyFy's "Happy!" as a recurring character. WWE has done surprisingly little with him since he signed a new deal.

WWN's More Than Mania over WM35 weekend will feature the first-ever U.S. shows from DDT and Germany's wXw, on top of EVOLVE, SHIMMER, Kaiju Big Battel, and a Mercury Rising event. Interestingly, PROGRESS is not listed. It's good to see that variety featured.

Mixed Match Challenge is nominated for a Streamy award for sports. Yes, WWE's OK with being a sports show if it gets them awards.

David Arquette talked about his wrestling career. I'm glad he has such respect for the business. The story at the time was Russo wanted to get publicity from the movie crossover at a time when ratings were struggling.

Kofi Kingston broke the record for most days as tag team champion in WWE. That's impressive! The previous record was 953 days, held by Billy Gunn.

Raw drew 2.35 million viewers Monday night, a really notable drop from last week. I can't find a worse audience number for the show on record. They had big competition from other TV shows, but they've had that in previous years as well and never dipped this low. As always, whether that matters depends on USA Network.

Liv Morgan was diagnosed with a concussion after Raw, which isn't surprising. I hope she comes out of that OK.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. WWE screwed themselves over there, although all wrestling companies using that match name have to be careful due to the movie of the same name. So "WWE WarGames" or what have you is trademarkable, but not just "WarGames."

2. ONS 2005 was fresh and exciting for WWE. ONS 2006 was fun, but not the same. ECW was pitched as something like the original promotion, but the more planning that went into bringing it back, the more it turned into WWE's third brand. As for why it was brought back, WWE had put out an ECW documentary DVD that sold really well, leading to the first ONS, which did well enough for them to do the TV show.

3. Unless WWE's feeling really vindictive, they should be fine as long as they don't promote things in a way that plays off WWE's event.

4. Vince tries to be approachable in that sense. He wants talents to come into his office and pitch him ideas.

5. The main roster team is micromanaged a lot more and has to do things week-by-week. NXT can tape weeks at a time with no worry about ratings, budget, etc. And, of course, NXT has a lot less time to fill and a good deal fewer marquee events to build toward.

More wrestling tomorrow.
