Impact Wrestling preview, another former Nexus member working house shows, Cesaro works again, Questions on Bischoff, Wellness violations in kayfabe, Brodus as the Raw GM, SNME in the Attitude Era and the MidCard Mafia, Kaitlyn blogs, TNA cancels German events, potentially huge problem for Raw taping next week, Smackdown rating, another Angle-Olympics interview, TNA cancels Orlando tapings, changes on FCW roster, identity of Brodus Clay's dancers, and the videos for the HoF inductees

The official Impact Wrestling preview doesn't have much in the way of specifics. Just continuations of stories and the team of Matt Morgan and Crimson in action.

To continue the trend of FCW performers getting tryouts for the main roster, Husky Harris worked the Raw live events this weekend. He teamed with Drew McIntyre in a loss to Ezekiel Jackson and Trent Barreta. I was very impressed with Harris in places during Season 2 of NXT and a match a recently saw him in for FCW. He's still pretty young. If he can really tap into the speed and agility he showed at times there, I think he could really be someone to watch in the ring. Hmm... maybe he could tag with Ryback (Skip Sheffield)?

Antonio Cesaro also worked Sunday's Smackdown show, with the same set up as Saturday.

On to my take on PWInsider.com's questions of the day:
1. I agree that the overall look for the product has been upped drastically from years back. I like the slick presentation and the new cameras. I'm still not a fan of the whole "cameraman zooming in and out in plain sight but no one notices him" thing by any stretch, but that hasn't been as big of an issue lately. The backstage interviews and the like are usually pretty good, though.

After the break, I go into the rest of the questions and news, starting with using Wellness Policy violations in storylines.
2. I can certainly see that argument. For the C.M. Punk/Jeff Hardy story, it added a lot of heat to the storyline and was a natural association. In general, though, I don't think such things should be addressed. I see it as the performer being suspended and not the character. They aren't necessarily the same entity (Hardy's a notable exception). If it gets a LOT of press like Hardy's problems did, I can see there being reason for it to come up.

3. You'd think he would have booked himself in title matches or something when he was in power. So, no. I'd be rather surprised at this point if they address the character's status any time soon. Maybe it's who John Laurinaitis has been texting all this time? They did have a plan for who it was going to be, but they've pretty much dropped that angle now that HHH and Laurinaitis are in positions of power.

4. It would have undoubtedly done better for the reasons mentioned.

5. Yeah, I can see how those would get them in some serious trouble. Whereas Zack Ryder's videos were/are fun little jokes pushing for him to get himself on TV more, those videos were a little more boat-rocking and angry. While I appreciate the effort behind them and the guts it took to take those kinds of shots at what they dislike about the product, it looks like it backfired on them. That sucks.

WWE's Kaitlyn has an occasional blog on fitness website Hardbody.com, featuring her unique humor and outlook on life in addition to a number of relevant tips and road stories. Good reads.

TNA canceled its German live events scheduled near the end of the month due to poor advanced ticket sells. That's got to be disappointing.

Next week's Raw takes place at Anaheim, CA. Why this is significant is that for the Saturday and Sunday preceding, the arena will be featuring PBR shows. In a bit of terrible planning, it'll likely take until around 4 p.m. EST Monday for the dirt used there to be cleared out. WWE typically begins their setups for Raw a good 8 or more hours before then. Don't be surprised if they just throw up the new live event set or something in order to have everything ready for Raw. They might even have to forgo dark matches and Superstars. This is all speculation of course, but it's certainly within the realm of possibilities.

Smackdown did a 1.82 rating on Friday. Not having Randy Orton can certainly be linked to part of that.
Uncertainty about Daniel Bryan as a credible Champion and using the semi-retired Booker T. could also have factored in. Either way, given that much hype and advance notice for what should have been two big matches, that's a real downer. The frustratingly long road of building the next generation of stars continues.

Kurt Angle's Olympic quest was once more profiled. There continues to be doubt over his odds of making it to the team (much less medalling in London).

TNA has canceled the Impact Wrestling tapings for 1/16 and 1/17, presumably in a change of plans to better accommodate the new London taping.

In a bit of New Year's cleaning, main roster members Brodus Clay, Donny Marlow (Hunico's bodyguard Camacho), Epico, Mason Ryan, Trent Barreta and AJ have all been removed from FCW's roster page. Presumably this means they've all "graduated" and won't be headed back there anymore. It's also possible that they'll upload an updated profile for Marlow under his new name.

Speaking of Brodus, as speculated earlier the dancers accompanying him were Naomi of NXT Season 3 and Cameron Lynn formerly of Tough Enough (as Ariane Andrew). Both have been working in FCW as of late. Naomi has a background as a dancer and cheerleader, and was very impressive athletically on NXT. No word on if they'll use different names on the main roster. Now that that segment's had time to sink in, it really wasn't that bad. If I had seen Brodus for the first time there instead of as the serious performer he had been previously, I'd have thought highly of him as an up-and-comer. He's very quick and athletic for his size, so maybe this will end up working out for him.

Finally, here are the Hall of Fame videos for Edge and the Four Horsemen.

That's all for Monday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
