More live event notes, DiBiase injured, MVP interview, Questions on Flair in the Hall, Brodus, Raven, and the "kid-friendly" WWE, Kristofferson talks son's signing, and Orton returns,

Ryback worked Saturday's house show as well, losing to Alex Riley via surprise small package to set up Riley vs. Cody Rhodes later in the night. Mark Henry was similarly absent from the event. It seems his status is kind of day-to-day at this point. He's still set for the Royal Rumble.

Ted DiBiase suffered some sort of arm injury on Friday and was pulled from the rest of the weekend's live events. More on this when it comes in. I think he was just starting to hit his stride, so hopefully this won't be a big setback for him.

The former MVP talked about WWE, rapping, and a number of other things in Miami. Nice little read. A book from him would be quite interesting.

After the break, I go into PWInsider.com's questions of the day. First up, more on the Flair/Hall of Fame situation and how it involves TNA.

1. From the sounds of things, they just didn't bother consulting with TNA! The company's obviously aware of it, but so far nothing's come out about how they feel on the matter.

2. Ahh, pessimists. Like how that rapper guy who dressed like Vanilla Ice will only get to P.N. News level. And that guy who used to go around saying "Hi, I'm Dolph Ziggler". They can only go so far up the card with someone like that! And remember that guy who used to just go around rapping "What's up?"? Total failure. You can determine someone's entire level of success or failure within a couple of weeks of their debuts. Even if it's getting good reactions so far, it's going to crash and burn because the almighty IWC has spoken. Seriously, I'm not saying the gimmick has WWE Champion written on it, but it's WAY too early to say how high his career will end up as a result of it.

3. Nope. Especially after the lawsuit he filed against the company a couple of years back over the whole "independent contractor" thing.

Nothing to add to 4. As for 5, C.M. Punk doesn't call John Laurinaitis a bitch on a kid-friendly product.  Once again, opinion's being stated as fact. There are a lot more issues that have affected ratings (DVRs, hot-cold booking, and a lot more competition for eyeballs and dollars), and WWE's still doing pretty darn well business-wise, so I don't know if we'll see any major changes any time soon. If I were them, I don't think I'd change my philosophy much either. It certainly seems like the older fans have become so jaded that they can't be easily pleased. I'd be more focused on building a new (post-Attitude Era) fan base.

Kris Kristofferson talked briefly about his son being signed to FCW.

Finally, Randy Orton returned at the 1/22 WWE house show, attacking Wade Barrett only for Barrett to escape. He's set for Smackdown this week as well.

That's all for Sunday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
