Query on Lacey Von Erich, video of performers WWE cut in 2011, WWE on Demand sticking around?, Questions on Tough Enough, 1/2/12 videos, Cena turning heel, Kane, and Punk/Laurinaitis, Impact Wrestling preview, possible spoilers on Orton and Cena/Kane, Memphis legend rumor-buster, more on Ring Ka King (TNA's India project), HBK Q&A, and the pre-Raw dark match

To answer today's query:
1. I haven't seen anything about Lacey Von Erich, wrestling or otherwise, in a very long time. Last I heard she was working on something that didn't involve wrestling, but this was months and months ago. If anyone knows of what she's up to these days, feel free to comment!

Here's a video showing the names who left WWE in 2011. Not bad. I'd certainly like some of them to either return or go to TNA.

WWE on Demand is still being featured with new content on a number of services, so it appears that it will at least survive January. I'll try to continue following this story since I've already begun coverage of it.

Update: WWE will continue to provide content for Classics on Demand for services that they're contracted to. Some deals have recently expired, causing them to phase out the feature. As more deals expire in the coming months and years, the plans are to cut out the channel to boost the value of the WWE Network. Some (but not all) of the content on that service will appear on the upcoming network. That makes sense. They can't just breach contracts, after all. Hopefully this endeavor works out well for them.

PWInsider.com has some new questions to examine:
1. Ditto. There's been a good deal of talk from people who were on the show that it will come back. As far as I know, USA was happy with it (thought at one point they thought of possibly changing the timeslot). I'd be very surprised if it didn't come back at some point.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news and questions, starting with the big 1/2/12 videos.

2. By the time this is posted, we'll have the answer. I'm typing this before Raw, so I don't know for certain which direction they're going (there could always be a swerve or last minute change of plans, though it seems unlikely). It'd definitely be a let down to a lot of people if it isn't a big name like Jericho or Taker (don't hold your breath for Lesnar. Things generally don't move that quickly these days).

3.

You will never see a John Cena heel turn.
Yeah, I wish people would go ahead and reach the "acceptance" stage of the whole "turn Cena heel" idea. At least now they're at bargaining. I don't see it working as well as so many others seem to. I don't necessarily think the Cena haters would cheer, but I doubt they'd boo as strongly as they do now. On the other hand, a lot of Cena fans would stop buying merchandise and so on. Unless someone brings a new angle to the debate, my answers are going to get even more repetitive and mocking. It's pretty much all I can do at this point as it's really been talked to death.

4. I agree that they should have made (or should make, there's still time) it more apparent, but I think I have the answer: before he was injured, he was in Theodore Long's office once on Smackdown talking about how he used to be a monster and now he's human (I'm paraphrasing here, but that was the gist of it). Maybe Henry injuring him awakened that part of him (his "true self"), and he's grateful to him because of it (thus not attacking him). The Kane character has a pretty twisted sense of logic, different from most people. The normal rules "don't apply" to him.

5. I think that we'll see that match before then. At least I hope so. Punk definitely deserves a bigger Mania moment after his work this year. Laurinaitis is growing on me, but more in a "he's either oblivious to how awkward he is or really, really good at pretending that he is" way. McMahon was more of a diabolical heel, whereas Laurinaitis is somewhat of a comedy character.

Here's the official video preview of Impact Wrestling. That main event's fine by me.

The following could be spoilers, or simply mistakes by those who posted them. I'd especially take the second one with a grain of salt:
Randy Orton is listed as appearing at the 1/16 episode of Raw and beyond. This doesn't mean he'll be wrestling there, and as always the lineup is subject to change. Any further update on his injury will be covered.

John Cena vs. Kane is listed as being for the WWE Championship for the dark match of the 1/23 Raw taping.

Apparently there's a rumor going around that Memphis legend Jackie Fargo has passed away. This is false. He's hospitalized for pneumonia, which started those reports.

TNA will be filming more episodes for Ring Ka King in the coming weeks. The former Nunzio/Little Guido has been added to their roster. No word on any tapings past January, as quite a few episodes will be taped by the end of the month. Also no word on what else will be done with the people contracted there once the this first group of tapings has been completed, though the project is intended to be long-term.

Shawn Michaels took to YouTube to answer a number of fan questions, including stating that he's under a special WWE contract and would be open to working behind the scenes there on a semi-regular basis. I think he'd be enormously valuable in that kind of role, helping in the growth of the future of the company and its performers.

Finally, the dark match before Raw once more had Skip Sheffield defeating Michael McGillicutty. It's presently unknown what timeframe there is for him to return on-screen. It seems like the shows are already fairly crowded without the people on the sidelines fighting for spots (Skip, Brodus, Rollins, Ambrose, Sandow, etc.).

That's all for Monday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
