Query on Kid Kash-WWE, Mysterio updates condition, Questions on de-pushing Punk, Mascaras, Martel, Bourne, and WWE on NBC, Punk interview, Lockdown details, more on RKK in the States, DiBiase update, WWE meets ND National Guard, Hart to evaluate at FCW, Bourne update, Punk calls out Miz fan and the Smackdown rating

Today's news begins with a query:
1. I don't see Kid Kash showing back up in WWE any time soon (if at all). Talented performer who defies his age, but they had ample opportunity to bring him back after his 2006 run there and didn't. So I'm guessing that ship has sailed.

Rey Mysterio gave a video update on his condition following his knee injury. I'm sure WWE would love to have him in the mix around that time as well.

Update: WWE hopes to have him back around the time of WrestleMania, but could hold off on bringing him back on TV until after that event.

Next up, my take on PWInsider.com's questions:
1. While the Punk angle did initially get a LOT of buzz (especially with online and more long-term fans), he wasn't as hot as The Rock. Even being at Cena's level isn't certain. Online fans have a huge tendency to discount the mainstream audience, which Punk has yet to reach that level with. Casual fans know who Cena is. You'd have to live in a cave to not know who Rock is. As much as I like Punk, he wasn't THAT over (though he could have been on his way). I don't think they intentionally dropped the ball; they were just misguided on what to do after the initial success. As for Punk's push stopping, I must have missed that part. Which WE Title match and/or main event slot did it happen after? He may not be the top guy in the company now, but they're still behind him and letting him do more of what he wants to than they did pre-MITB.

After the break, I go into the rest of the day's news and questions. First up, some Hall of Fame questions.

2. I guess since they had already announced it on the website, it's ok to post there, but since they didn't mention it on TV, it didn't count for TV purposes. I can see what they're doing. The majority of fans weren't aware of that announcement, so they quietly glossed over it. And they would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for you meddling kids! Seriously, though, he's still going in. They'll probably have a video feature on him on TV like they did for Edge and the Horsemen as well.

3. Ditto.

4. The only thing I can think to add here is that most title changes should be on TV or PPV where a lot more people will see it. There are a LOT of fans who don't follow wrestling online who were probably taken aback by the sudden title switch. I like the idea of making live events important, but I don't think I'd go that route too often outside of "emergencies" like what happened with Bourne.

5. As they said, sadly advertisers are still less than cozy with wrestling. I don't think it'd be as big of a success as it might have been years back. They're presumably happy with using it to make USA bigger and don't want to change that.

C.M. Punk was interviewed ahead of Raw. Never a dull moment with him.

Lethal Lockdown has been confirmed for TNA's annual April PPV, along with a separate World Title match. Hogan, Sting, Flair, and RVD are all advertised as being on the show, so take that for what you will.

The Colors Network, which will air TNA's Ring Ka King, is also available on AT&T UVerse's international package.

Ted DiBiase is believed to have suffered either a broken forearm or wrist. No word beyond that just yet.

Big Show was quoted in a story about WWE visiting with members of the North Dakota National Guard. I rag on the guy a lot, but that's great of him to do and the company would be at a loss without his years there.

Bret Hart will be visiting at FCW this week, giving his invaluable analysis of the performers there. Can't wait to hear his thoughts on the future main roster stars.

Following his second suspension, a number of sources think that Evan Bourne could be on his way out of WWE. This suspension was apparently for something different from what he was suspended for the first time. That's a real shame as he is a very special performer who stands out in the company. I'd definitely be thinking of a new partner for Kofi right now. My pick would be Justin Gabriel due to the similar styles and African connection.

C.M. Punk pranked a Miz fan on a recent house show. Funny guy.

Finally, Smackdown pulled in a 2.18 rating on Friday. Not bad at all. They've got something going with this Daniel Bryan story and would be stupid to end it now.

That's all for Monday's news. More to come tomorrow. Thanks for reading!
