Today on WWE Superstars, the main event features a clash of former WWE Tag Team Champions as Kofi Kingston collides with his NXT Season 2 Rookie, Michael McGillicutty. Later, on Impact Wrestling, the tables will be set as someone goes through one. Jeff Hardy and James Storm go up against Bully Ray and the TNA World Champion. All this and plenty more to come, including a #1 Contendership match for the Knockouts Championship. Read on for my thoughts on the shows as they happen.
Mahal vs. Kidd!? That's bizarre. Did I miss a face turn?

I think Kidd could easily work as a face with his offense.
It's actually the 25th edition of the Rumble. It's like how the day your born isn't your first birthday. WWE doesn't get that for some reason.
I wonder who the others were.
Nice match. I like both men's futures. With Evan Bourne possibly on his way out, Kidd might could fit in a similar role to his. He's certainly paid his dues and is a hard worker.
I think they should build performers more than the gimmick matches that they're in.
I guess Beth's better after that nasty welt on her head courtesy of Alicia Fox.
Another heel vs. heel match that may or may not affect characters going forward.
Why'd you have to make me remember Perez Hilton? I should crap on the match just for that.
I like the suggestion of Tamina vs. Beth.
Beth was kind of the face there. Not sure what to make of that. WWE's confusing.
While Evan Bourne got suspended for 60 days, Kofi Kingston's in a match with Michael McGillicutty. Not really sure who got the worst end of the deal there.
I could probably recite the numbers package from memory now they've showed it so much. At least it's not for a WWE Film.
It's been 3 years since Santino went 1 second? Time flies.
There's a reason they don't show the other guy who won from #1.

I think it might be time for new entrance music for Kofi. It's not exactly indicative of his more serious, non-Jamaican character.

Hmm... seems like they're setting the stage for Kofi to split from Evan. Not a good sign for Mr. 90 Days Off.
Michael should be going after his former Pro for giving his fans the name "McGillibuddies". This actually happened.
I love the fake dive move by Kofi. That's crazy.
If they ever make a movie out of WWE video games, McGillicutty can play the generic default wrestler.
Kofi did the best with what he had there. Not a memorable match by any stretch.
Pretend there's a segue or something here for Impact Wrestling.

One day in the future someone will watch this show and wonder what OMG WTF means.
God I hate Mickie's entrance music.
Robbie E was the only good thing about that commercial.
I liked the Thesz press spot.
That match works for me. Velvet still has room to grow, and Mickie in the title picture's ben done to death.
So, what's the point of Sting taking people out with a bat if he's not going to be a regular wrestler? The heels look bad for not retaliating, and it takes attention away from the wrestlers.
Hopefully Ion will be ticked that he just got referred to as "not X-Division Champion material". The argument could be made that if Shelley wins, he just beat someone who's not at his level (which would lessen its meaning). And if he loses (clean), he's not as good as someone who's not X-Division Champion material!
First heel to throw Young in the back of a garbage truck or something gets my unrelenting praise.
Now that's a cool and unique look.
Shelley stands out as well. We need more unique looks in wrestling, especially WWE. People are a diverse blend of hairstyles and clothing, especially in the sought-after 18-34 demographic. Performers should reflect that.
While Cody Rhodes did something similar not too long ago, I like Ion's narcissism and not wanting to ruin his face.
Pretty cool Lockdown package, though the sound of flatlining being associated with wrestling's a little disturbing.
I think it's Hogan training him. Clever way to build intrigue.
Whoever gives the cues for the camera obviously likes Christy Hemme.
This is TERRIBLE. Someone come to the ring with a Singapore cane and clean house. Spare Winter and maybe Angelina.
This is the kind of match Cole and Booker should call.
You know who else was unique?
Tension! Fatal 4 Way seems more likely every segment.
I don't remember the last time a tag team title feud has been built this well. MAYBE the Best of 5 spotfests between Beer Money and MCMG.
Nice variation on the elbows in the corner spot.
Hopefully Morgan goes more of the Undertaker route than Kevin Nash.
Morgan's almost being heelish here.
Someone, somewhere is complaining that the match ending is secondary to the physicality that followed.
Is it bad that I liked that Valentine's Day song?
I liked that line by Hardy.
Kazarian always looks like he has nothing going on in his head. The lights are on, but no one's home.
Not bad by Styles and Daniels, though we've been down this road about 100 times.
The fans are so into whether Kazarian will join his friend in the ring that they're counting. Nice.
I was half-way hoping we'd get Styles vs. Daniels in some kind of loser leaves TNA match or something that finally settles things between them. It's not like Daniels can't return under a different name and gimmick again.
I'm pretty much sitting and watching this one. Not much to say positively or negatively.
I love the foot through the table spot. I don't think I've seen that one before.
I'm a little surprised that Roode took the "fall" here. This marks the second time in recent memory that that's happened in a big match where he couldn't escape (losing to Sting and Hardy last time).
DAMN. They really took him out. I'm very intrigued with where this could all be going.
