TNA Turning Point preview

Read on for how I'd book Turning Point.

DOC (the former Luke Gallows) beats Joseph Park with a chokeslam, then takes him out with a chain. Park's a non-wrestler and now is not the time to cut out the legs of Aces and Eights. Long-term, build to Abyss coming to save his brother and face Aces and Eights.

RVD outwrestles Joey Ryan, but as he sets up for the frog splash he eats a Carbon Footprint from Matt Morgan. The referee sees it and throws the match out. Rematch next month. Morgan is able to be at ringside for that match after winning a handicap match against Sonjay Dutt and Kenny King. Long-term, Ryan wins the title and faces off with some Gut Check winners and X-Division guys. Morgan faces RVD.

Jessie pins Eric Young in the mixed tag match, since Young might be on his way out. Eventually, Tara and Jessie become the new Knockouts Tag Team Champions.

Chavo and Hernandez retain successfully, and their next opponents are Aces and Eights members (after a small feud with Gunner and Kid Kash).

Samoa Joe beats Magnus in a WAR. Magnus earns Joe's respect, but walks out of an attempted handshake. Joe can also face Aces and Eights at some point.

Devon beats Kurt Angle after interference by Aces and Eights (and members of the TNA locker room).

Bobby Roode beats James Storm with a Last Call superkick in the triple threat to become the new #1 Contender.

The main event should be a star-making match for Aries (similar to Hardy's ladder match with Undertaker in that regard). Even in defeat, Aries should look like he can hang with the best of the best in TNA. Hardy wins to face Roode next month. Aries feuds with Bully Ray for a while, but is by no means out of the title picture.

I'll be back tomorrow to cover how it actually goes down!
