WWE Survivor Series preview

Read on for how I'd book WWE Survivor Series.

One of my first things that stands out to me about this card is that as of this writing there are only 5 announced matches, with talk of a 6th being added. I think they should have at least those 6 matches, and a bonus match if time allows (or if another match needs to be cut short due to injury or something). For the bonus match, let's go with Ted DiBiase vs. JTG. DiBiase had support going with the DiBiase Posse. It'd be great if he could get that going again. I'd like to see him eventually challenge Cesaro for the U.S. Title. So he gets the win here with Dream Street.

On the pre-show: 3MB gets the win after using an electric guitar to the back. Bands should have instruments! It would add heat to 3MB and Gabriel and Kidd would be protected because it took a weapon to beat them.

I've already spoiled where I'm going with the U.S. Title. Cesaro wins clean. Talented guy. Announcers should hype it as a big win. R-Truth used to be a contender for the WWE Title, after all. Eventually, Cesaro replaces the U.S. Title with the European Title. But I don't know if it's time for that just yet.

Kaitlyn vs. Eve should matter. It's no secret that I think the Divas division is underutilized. There should be an interview and/or a video package to remind people that Eve attacked Kaitlyn. This match should get enough time to have some meaning, and Kaitlyn should beat the dastardly Eve. It should be seen as a big moment for Kaitlyn. Eve should be somewhat shocked. Going forward, Eve wants a rematch. Long-term, AJ enters the Divas division and we eventually get a battle of two former best friends.

For the match that hasn't been officially added at this writing, Mysterio and Sin Cara survive their team also including Ryder and Santino defeating PTP, Primo, and Epico. Sin Cara is a victim of WWE's ADD booking. He was seen as a pretty big deal last year. I think it's time they put some more stock in him. Mysterio should endorse him and they should be a credible team. Sin Cara should be a long-term project. Mysterio will be the next challenger to the World Champion and Sin Cara will be jealous and want to one-up him. He'll eventually defect and team with Del Rio, leading to either Rey vs. Cara or Rey and Ricardo (El Local?) vs. Del Rio and Sin Cara. Point being, Sin Cara should be getting the rub from Rey and eventually Del Rio.

The other elimination match comes down to Miz vs. Ziggler. WWE treats them both as guys who could easily make it to the next level (they should be seen as future credible WWE/World Champions, maybe sooner than later). Ziggler gets distracted by Foley and Miz gets the win. Ziggler gets his win back on Main Event using his briefcase as a weapon. I don't think either should go out clean for a while. They should be rebuilt! Miz will eventually be in the WWE Title picture and Ziggler will cash in at Mania (I'm shocked WWE hasn't done that yet).

Anyone who's seen a triple threat knows how this one will go. The action should be good enough that fans won't care that the ending is tired. Ryback in particular should look good. They might have lightning in a bottle if they continue to present him as strong. Punk can't beat Ryback so he uses his strength to beat Cena. Punk vs. Ryback at TLC. Cena will be teaming with AJ against Dolph and Vickie.

I rag on Big Show a lot, but I think he should beat Sheamus. Sheamus should be strong, but can't get it done. Long-term, he trains and gets the win at Mania. Show faces Mysterio next.

Thoughts? Comment below. I'll be back to cover how the show actually goes down tomorrow.
