TNA Final Resolution preview

Read on for how I'd book Final Resolution.
This time, I'm going to give extra insight into why I'm booking what I'm booking:
I have a few basic rules -
1. Heels are generally heels because they break rules and don't want to settle things in the ring. Faces, by contrast, want to win fairly and honorably by being the better wrestler.

2. Feuds almost always go longer than one PPV. Build heat for a few months, then have a blowoff match. Also, feuds almost always end in a big PPV match. People should be buying PPVs to see the next big chapter/conclusion for a feud.

3. Build new talent! It takes time for someone to become a credible main eventer, sometimes years. When a talent is just getting started or just becoming a new character, nurture it.

4. Titles are important. Have strong competition for the gold and make talents WANT to be champion. Title reigns should rarely if ever be only a couple of weeks.

All that said, here's what I'd want to do:
Tara retains the Knockouts Championship through some sort of shenanigans. The act with Jesse is fairly new and still has legs. Three-way feud with Mickie (who wants her rightful rematch) and Velvet (who Mickie will resent for taking her spot in line for the title shot). Next month: Tara vs. Velvet for the title.

RVD gets a clean win over Kenny King. This match gets some time and King is made to look like a credible challenger. King earns RVD's respect with his effort. King is just getting started in TNA and the fans need a reason to take him seriously. Next up, RVD vs. Robbie E and Robbie T to build RVD's title reign (so it means more when someone beats him).

Chavo and Hernandez retain the tag team titles. Ryan and Morgan get frustrated and attack them after the match. Long-term, Morgan should be seen as a future main eventer and Ryan should look credible. Next month they would win the tag titles in crooked fashion.

Styles has Daniels on the ropes, fired up by Daniels thinking he's a loser after all these years and wanting to get that final win. Kazarian looks to give Daniels the edge, but James Storm prevents him from doing so. Styles is distracted by Storm and Daniels gets a surprise win. Styles vs. Storm is next while Daniels gloats about the victory. Ultimately, Styles will beg Hogan for another match with Daniels down the line and get the win on his path to challenging for the World Title at BFG.

Brooke Hogan comes to ringside to when Aries is beating up Bully Ray. She slaps Aries and Ray gets the win. The feud continues. As it goes on, Aries kidnaps Brooke and beats Hogan up. Aries should get a lot of heat and stay in the main event picture, maybe even being TNA Champion again in 2013.

Wes' and Garett's inexperience costs them and Aces and Eights get the win. Possibly an unmasking of someone if TNA's ready for someone to be a regular member. Mike Knox? Cliff Compton? At some point I think they need an X-Division guy to take the title from RVD and hold it hostage.

The main event depends largely on Jeff Hardy's contract status. If he might not be around next month, switch the title to Roode (with Aces and Eights help?). If he's around for another month, he wins a match that elevates Roode as a legitimate contender and the TNA Title is safe from Aces and Eights FOR NOW.

I'll be back for how it actually goes down tonight.
