After Raw went off the air, the babyfaces stood tall. Dolph Ziggler hit the ring once the other heels were run off, and ate big moves from all the faces. Of course. And they wonder where the new stars are.
Smackdown drew 2.55 million viewers, up slightly from last week.
Colt Cabana was backstage at Raw. Get those rumors started!
Raw's viewership was 3.76 million.
Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
MVP says that he has not been contacted by WWE about a return. That could change, as the plan to bring stars back is in the early stages.
Mark Henry is still on the fence about returning to WWE from his latest injury, stating that he's pushing to come back "but that doesn't mean it will happen". I hope he comes back as good as he was in his Hall of Pain run. He can still contribute.
The Rock is advertised for Elimination Chamber. That doesn't mean he'll wrestle then. In fact, I'll be surprised if he does.
For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. The gimmick is kind of out there, even though he legitimately spent time in Japan. Maybe if they didn't use the mist, robe, chalk, etc. it would have done better. It was worth a shot. I like his stiff style.
Nothing to add to 2.
3. I'd much rather hear him than Lawler! The shots at Matthews get kind of old, but other than that I like him.
4. I guess it's possible, but there's no word that that's what they're doing.
5. They can definitely use the Shield in ways other than as fodder for Ryback. I think they just might give them a good future as high on them as some in the company are.
More wrestling tomorrow.
