Interviews with Otunga/Clay/Hogan/Miz/Dixie/Angle, Knockouts who won't return to TNA, story on OVW, former TNA Champion gone from company?, Goldust/WWE update, part-time star at NXT, change in X-Division, TNA helping out new promotion, speculation of returning Diva, Impact attendance estimate, and Questions on the Invasion, Ivelisse, Michael Cole, and TNA in NYC

David Otunga talked about his film role. I've seen his name so many times at this point that I'm starting to get "X-Pac heat" towards him. There are so many more interesting people in the wrestling world.

Brodus Clay was interviewed ahead of a live event. I liked his statements about reading and staying in school.

Hulk Hogan gave an interview. Is anyone shocked that he wants another title match? As for Vince being a lot older than him, there's only about 8 years age difference between them. And I definitely don't think it's just him who gets criticized for having family members on TV who probably wouldn't be on TV without their last name. There's a long history of wrestlers/performers who have been criticized for being on TV because they had family members in high-standing (David Flair, Garett Bischoff, Deuce, Manu, Shawn Stasiak, Erik Watts, etc.).

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

The Miz was interviewed. Wrestling fans are definitely fickle and change their minds quickly. I like that Flair doesn't want him to just copy Flair's mannerisms. That's a good way to make yourself look like a divvy:

At any rate, Miz always does a good job of putting on a good public face for the company and putting things over even when he's not in a big match.

TNA contacted a number of former Knockouts about working one of their One Night Only PPVs. However, a number of talents contacted turned them down including Awesome Kong (Kharma), Roxxi, Angelina Love, Rosita, and Traci Brooks (who had a prior commitment). Shelly Martinez (a.k.a. Salinas) wasn't contacted. lolTNA, amirite? Seriously, though, I bet some people would have liked to have seen a Beautiful people reunion.

OVW was profiled. Some future TNA stars could be coming from there.

Rob Van Dam is officially a free agent after his TNA contract expired last week. That would be why he wasn't at Lockdown. The company's obviously pretty high on him so I expect them to try their hardest to strike a deal with him. At least at one point, Hogan was pretty heavily in his camp and I expect that to help him.

It doesn't look like we'll get Goldust vs. Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania, at least not one-on-one. I'd actually be ok with the suggested idea of Goldust and Booker vs. Team Rhodes Scholars IF Rhodes Scholars come out looking strong.

Here's more from the recent Dixie Carter interview, where she talked about taking Impact on the road. Obviously a lot of fans have wanted TNA to be on the road full-time for a while, so I'm glad they're finally in a position where they can branch out.

Speaking of Dixie Carter, Billy Corgan spoke with her about his Revolution Pro project. I'm sure he'd love to be affiliated with one of the major companies.

Kurt Angle talked about WWE, TNA, and more. I've seen some skepticism about his MMA stories.

Chris Jericho will be a part of the NXT taping on 3/21. Talk about someone that the people there can learn a lot from.

Dixie Carter is set to announce some new "rules" for the X-Division, like all matches have to be meaningless 5-minute spotfests. Seriously, though, I don't like there being tons of rules in wrestling. Don't make things too complicated.

TNA has announced a partnership with new Puerto Rican promotion WWL (World Wrestling League). It will be sending talents to work the show. That's pretty cool. I hope that's beneficial for both sides.

WWE has added the Dudley Boyz to the WWE.com Alumni section, capitalizing off of the buzz of Lockdown. That's pretty clever in a way, but it reminds anyone viewing the WWE website of two of the rival promotions' biggest stars.

WWE has revived the trademark for "Kharma". Make of that what you will!

TNA drew 6000-6500 fans at the Chicago Impact. Not bad at all.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. This is one of the reasons that the Invasion was probably never going to be what fans wanted it to be. WWF wrestlers were understandably protective of their spots. WCW had been mocked and demonized and had a terrible reputation by the time it shut down. I don't know how realistic it was to expect WWF to treat it as an equal.

2. Didn't see that heel turn coming from Johnson. Other than that, nothing to add.

3. I think this was one was just asked recently. I would be down with seeing it, too. She has that badass vibe about her that I think she'd fit in.

4. In his defense, I imagine it's incredibly difficult to do his job without screwing up. It should be noted that it's possible that someone fed him that line as either a rib or a mistake.

5. Surely NYC has come up. I don't know why they haven't run there, but you'd have to think that they will eventually. WWE could very well have contracts with MSG and Nassau to prevent TNA from running there, but there are other buildings they can run.

More wrestling tomorrow!
