More Bearer news, Dixie talks Alamodome, Interviews with Velvet/Bagwell/Miz/Daniels/Flair, Waltman under WWE contract, SVP of Creative out, fun with Fandango, Styles update, Otunga gets WWE press, Generico debuts in an NXT ring, and Questions on DDP Yoga, Samoa Joe, and wrestlers writing books

This article has a timeline of Paul Bearer's weekend.

Michael P.S. Hayes talked to WWE.com about his experiences with Bearer. How funny is it that they're showing a video featuring the head of TNA Creative (the former Brother Love)?

Dr. Tom Prichard remembered Bearer. Another tribute that really tugs the heart-strings. Bearer was really loved.

Video has been posted of Bearer's final managerial appearance. I wonder what WWE thinks of them using Undertaker's music.

Dixie Carter talked about the decision to run the Alamodome.  They only have so many options of where to hold the event in San Antonio.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

Velvet Sky talked ahead of a TNA event. She sounded pretty good.

Knockouts referee Taryn Tarrell was "Today's Girl" on Maxim.com.

Sean "X-Pac" Waltman has signed a WWE Legends contract. It will be cool to see him possibly get back in the ring at some point. I think he could do some good things with the current and future stars.

Eric Pankowski, the Senior Vice President of Creative at WWE who organized the writing teams under the guidance of Stephanie McMahon, is no longer a part of the company. This was a WWE decision, not his. He was said to not be receptive to others' ideas, not able to work with the eclectic personalities in the company, and trying to force a "Hollywood mindset". From the sounds of things, they made the right choice.

A salsa dancer spoke of working with Fandango. I continue to hope that he does good things.

Damien Sandow is replacing Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez at the 3/15 NXT show. No word as to why.

Buff Bagwell talked to 4th and Pain about a number of pertinent topics. I also hope wrestling has cool things happening in the future, but I don't know how much he'd contribute to the current TNA environment. Interesting take on his extremely brief WWF run. I've always heard the rumor that he had a big ego and his match with Booker T. on Raw was so bad that they decided to not make a WCW-themed show.

Here's another Miz interview.

Christopher Daniels was interviewed ahead of Lockdown.

Here's a preview of a Ric Flair shoot interview. Could be pretty interesting. I believe Shane Douglas is actually a manager at Target, for those wondering.

AJ Styles is teasing a TV return at the Chicago Impact tapings. That'd be a little surprising. I wonder what they're going to do with him in the months to come.

David Otunga was on TMZ Live, presumably to talk about Paul Bearer.

The former El Generico debuted in the ring at NXT under his real name of Rami Sebei and without the Generico gimmick (i.e. unmasked). That's somewhat surprising. They could just be testing how well he can get over without the mask and colorful gimmick, which isn't altogether a bad idea. Here's a picture of him at the event.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
Nothing to add to 1.

2. I can add testimonial to it. I've used in the past and it's legit.

Nothing to add to 3.

4. That's pretty high praise for Joe. I don't follow ROH (and never really have), but he's got competition from the likes of Punk and Daniel Bryan.

5. Patterson, Punk, and Jarrett are all on my list as well. Kevin Nash, The Undertaker, and Kane would also be good choices.

More news tomorrow and a Blue Echo podcast is coming up!
