Main Event Reax - 3/20/13, WWE CFO makes interesting remarks, heads up to Impact viewers who use DISH, Masters a hero, Interview with Demoliton, and Questions on a new Abyss, WWE's priorities, Divas, Cena vs. Rock, and Taker in the Hall

Main Event:
Nice match between Barrett and Truth. Truth's experience is invaluable.

Nice post-match promo/confrontation. I'm sure this will be ignored by the people who say that the secondary titles "don't mean anything".

Sheamus' promo was pretty good until the "sheep out of my arse" line. Sheamus is starting to make me think of Shane McMahon saying The Rock was anally fixated. It just seems inconsistent with the rest of the promo and the angle that The Shield are a serious threat.

Certainly not an amazing promo by Alicia but at least a Diva got mic time and they set up a match instead of just throwing it out there.

Nice little Divas' match, though if we're headed towards Kaitlyn vs. Layla it might have made more sense to have Layla get the deciding fall.

This is the 14th time that The Usos and PTP have fought on TV (including NXT and Superstars). That's not even including singles matches or multiple-man matches including more than those two teams (6-man tag, battle royal, etc.). Yes, they can put on a good match, but I think it's really time to give the feud a break. Anyway, everyone looked good here (as they generally do). Titus didn't look limited or out of place at all. This felt like they were just looking for a match to fill time, because I doubt either team's doing anything storyline wise until after Mania (if then).

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

WWE CFO talked to potential investors. First he compared WWE's audience to UFC's. When did he go to a UFC event? I was under the impression that a lot of venues had no-smoking policies.

He also talked about the state of WWE's TV contracts and updated on the WWE Network. It's crazy to me that after all this money and all this time, it's still a "potential" network.

In another clip, he talked about moving PPVs to the Network, which I guess wouldn't make them PPVs anymore, would it?

For anyone who has DISH, Spike TV is being moved exclusively to channel 241 beginning on 4/3.

Chris Masters potentially saved his mother's life from a burning house by uprooting a tree and using it as a battering ram. Pic related; it's Chris Masters.

Demolition was interviewed. I like their thoughts about not having a comedic sidekick with serious, ass-kicking characters. They make very good points about tag teams of yesteryear vs. today.

Ohio Valley Wrestling, former WWE and current TNA training ground, has secured a TV deal with the Louisville, KY Ion affiliate, putting it in over 1,000,000 homes! Hopefully that works well for them.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. They have had an "impostor" Abyss interfere on behalf of Joseph Park in the past, so it's not out of the question. I think it could be a while before we see the character again at any rate, since he hasn't been mentioned in so long.

2. Maybe this is the "nostalgia goggles" talking, but commentary in WWE (at least on the main shows) feels pretty terrible these days. When produced right, Cole, Lawler, and JBL can be helpful to the show, but sometimes they really take away from the action with jokes, arguments, and putting down their fellow commentators. I don't see how Josh Mathews puts up with it.

3. This makes the second suggestion for Kaitlyn vs. AJ at Mania. It makes sense. And yes, WWE should definitely copy TNA, where feuds with referees take precedent over the Knockouts Championship and the whole thing is run by someone who got their job via nepotism. Derp.

4. I stopped reading at "long time John Cena fan". Kidding. Absolutely WWE needs more hype for Cena vs. Rock. Rock's schedule has hindered the process of building the feud, as has not knowing whether C.M. Punk would be involved. Maybe next year WWE learns from building the show around people with active Hollywood commitments and uncertainty about their status as a competitor. Just kidding. Expect Rock vs. Brock and Taker having a big moment.

5. >Michelle McCool in the Hall of Fame. ALL OF MY RAGE. I'm a fan of hers, but a Hall of Famer? No. Anyway, a Taker-centric Hall would be pretty cool. I'd add Paul Heyman to that list, too, since he managed Taker in his early years. As for Brother Love, I get the impression that there might be some heat on him given the shot Lawler took at him at Mania last year. At least he's not hypocritical and let people take shots at HIS heart attack.

More wrestling tomorrow.
