Saturday Morning Slam Reax - 3/2/13, NXT star works live event, Interview with Angle, names confirmed for Old School Raw, and Questions on commentary on DVDs and Low Ki

Saturday Morning Slam:
Good opening promo-off between Sandow and Ryder. I'm a fan of character development in general. That established that both people want to be GM, making that position seem important.

Pretty good opening match. Obviously not very long but it had its good moments. Ryder's protected in the loss, but Sandow gains some momentum. Smart.

I liked the segment where a lot of people wanted to be GM. Again, it makes the spot seem important. I just don't like Daniel Bryan referring to himself as the Dazzler when he could really get places as a serious character. The last thing they should be doing is putting him in some kind of comedy position.

Cesaro vs. Gabriel was really impressive. Even though Gabriel lost, he put in a lot of effort and did some impressive things. That's work ethic. To me, he's showing that he wants a better spot on the show. I can think of a few others on the roster who I'd like to see that level of effort from.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

NXT's Bray Wyatt (formerly Husky Harris) defeated Alex Riley on this weekend's Raw live event. No word on if his "family" was with him. His gimmick is pretty well liked on the internet, and I think it has legs. I hope he has a good future.

Bruno Sammartino was interviewed. It's still surreal that he's going into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Kurt Angle was interviewed ahead of a TNA live event. Good listen. He's definitely very talented and one of the best I've seen in the ring, but I don't know if he's the best wrestler ever. I also definitely think he made some people look better and put on some really good matches. He definitely has a good deal with TNA, and deserves to be a big player.

Ric Flair, "Mean" Gene Okerlund, Dusty Rhodes, Jim Ross, and "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan are all confirmed for Monday's Old School Raw. We NEED C.M. Punk on Piper's Pit. That would be huge. Those two would be perfect playing off of each other.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. WWE alters past footage all the time to tell the story they want to tell, be it taking out blood or not using Chris Benoit or changing commentary. In some cases it's understandable; in other cases it's petty.

Nothing to add to 2.

3. No word on where Low Ki is headed now. I hope he's on the radar for both WWE and TNA. He's pretty talented and could bring some good things to the table for either company.

Nothing to add to 4.

More wrestling tomorrow. A Blue Echo podcast should be up later today.
