Davey/Dillinger/Del Rio injury updates, more on LU Season 3, HoFer battling cancer, more on NJPW names to WWE, recent TNA name NJPW-bound, E&C show update, rumored Divas' Title match for Fastlane, WWE-MSG notes, WM32 promotion, details on Smackdown before WM32, Russo on 1998 WWF, Smackdown main events, and Questions on splitting up PTP, Brock at WM32, AJ's WWE deal vs. Joe's, pushing Breeze, and HHH as champion

Davey Richards is looking at getting surgery following a knee injury in the UK. There is no official diagnosis of his injury or how long he'll miss. I'd hate for TNA to have to vacate the tag team titles again.

Lucha Underground Season 3 will premiere in early 2017. I think it's pretty telling they've already ordered a third season as the second one is just starting. Will LU become competition for ROH, and later TNA? It's not that out of reach at this point, ratings-wise.

Bret Hart revealed he's fighting prostate cancer. That's really sad news. I hope he gets good news following surgery.

Update: WWE released a statement supporting the Hitman. I wish Bret the best in his fight.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
Tye Dillinger is believed to have suffered a badly strained knee during a recent NXT live event. There's no official word on how long he'll be away from the ring. He's been fun to watch working with guys like Zayn and Crews, sharpening their games.

Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson are expected to finish up with NJPW at the ROH Japanese shows on Feb. 19 and 20. Presumably after that they'll begin the process of getting signed to WWE. Maybe we see those two debut with Finn Balor the night after WM32?

Will Ospreay, who just worked on TNA's UK tour, is expected to start in NJPW in April after finishing up his other commitments. So, we could see him work some ROH shows later in the year. TNA might have missed out on an exciting young prospect.

WWE Hall of Famer Blackjack Mulligan was hospitalized in Florida Monday. His son, Irwin R. Schyster, and his grandsons, Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas, left the Raw taping in order to be with him. Blackjack has more or less founded a dynasty, and is a legend in his own right. I hope his stay in the hospital is brief.

Edge and Christian's WWE Network show is set to start the day after Fastlane. It looks pretty funny.

WWE is looking at Brie Bella vs. Charlotte at Fastlane. Haha. No. Charlotte vs. Paige vs. Becky to end that story is the way to go. Or, hell, Charlotte vs. Paige vs. Natalya or just Charlotte vs. Natalya.

Set for the March 25 WWE show in MSG:
- Roman Reigns vs. Sheamus (with Triple H in Sheamus' corner)
- AJ Styles' MSG debut
- Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens in a 30-minute iron man match for the Intercontinental Championship

If HHH isn't wrestling in the Garden, I don't see him working until WM32. Ambrose vs. KO should really be something.

John Cena, the Bellas, and Mark Henry are on the cover of American Airlines' magazine, promoting WM32. No Roman or Taker? Good promotion either way.

Update: Here's the article. Very much a puff piece.

WWE will tape footage for Smackdown at the March 28 Raw taping, as WWE heads to Dallas for WM32 the day they'd normally tape Smackdown. Who booked Raw for Brooklyn when they need to be in Dallas the next day? Talk about logistical problems.

New Day promoted Raw. I wonder what they're doing for Fastlane.

Kalisto vs. Alberto Del Rio has been set for Fastlane, so Del Rio is believed to be set to be cleared by then. I'm glad he won't be out too much longer.

Vince Russo examined the year 1998 for WWF. That should really be something. I think he's onto something in a lot of his comments. I know that's not a popular opinion.

Officially advertised for Smackdown:
- Roman Reigns vs. Rusev
- AJ Styles vs. The Miz

I think Styles vs. Jericho at Fastlane could easily happen.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. I think it's been clear since their first breakup they prefer Titus more. I wouldn't assume PTP is totally done, but for now they're using Titus higher up on the card than Darren.

2. Brock in a gauntlet match against the Wyatts could be a lot of fun. I don't really want to see him mow down four guys from a booking standpoint, but that's a lot of suplexes for the Dallas crowd to take in. I mean, no one would buy the Wyatts as a threat to Brock and a partner (Kane and/or Taker) unless they played up the "can they get along" factor on the face team, so they're kind of in a corner of their own making.

3. AJ was the center of something of a bidding war between WWE and TNA, so he got a better deal than Joe did. Joe was pretty clearly done with TNA, so WWE was only really competing with ROH for him.

4. I wouldn't call him "doomed." I like Breeze, too, but I don't see much reason to push him beyond an enjoyable undercard act. I saw him coming up from NXT being more of a case of having gone as far as he could in developmental. Now he'll get experience working at a higher level. He's only 28; once he gets more skills and experience, he can break out and get a second chance.

5. Yeah, someone's projecting with the whole "15-year-old boy" thing. Haitch hasn't been champion in almost seven years. Roman already beat Sheamus, and because of that I don't think anyone would buy him dominating the Rumble. HHH is a more WM-worthy opponent, as a sure-fire Hall of Famer who's been champion more than a dozen times. It's like playing basketball with Michael Jordan when he was past his prime, but could still "go." HHH is the final boss, as he should be given the history with Roman these past two years or so. As for elevating someone new in the main event picture, they're giving Roman the rub here. He just won his first WWE Title four months ago; he's hardly already "made" at the level of someone like Orton or Cena.

More wrestling tomorrow.
