Interviews with Charlotte/Cesaro, Cena update, top name to miss ROH/NJPW shows, more on ROH in Japan, new WWE award, new Fastlane matches, Big Show podcast notes, what happened after Raw, and Questions on wrestlers getting past security, bullying Saxton, Bryan retiring, and NXT acts translating to the main roster

Charlotte was interviewed in Germany. She's growing on me as a heel; she plays that role well.

Cesaro talked in Dubai ahead of WWE's shows there in April. I hope he's healthy enough to be back in the ring by then.

There's speculation of John Cena trying to get back in the ring for WWE for WM32, continued by this tweet. If anyone can beat doctors' expectations, it's him. I'd love to see Cena vs. Taker in Dallas, but WWE should definitely have some backup plans.

Adam Cole will not make this weekend's ROH/NJPW shows due to a personal situation. He's one of ROH's best wrestlers, so hopefully everything turns out OK.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.
There will be no live English commentary for the ROH/NJPW shows airing this weekend from Japan. They're more or less NJPW shows with ROH names.

Next week on Raw, the first-ever Vincent J. McMahon Legacy of Excellence Award will be presented. I assume this is a kayfabe thing to put HHH over as top corporate heel on the road to WM32, but we'll see.

Officially added to Fastlane:
- Kevin Owens vs. Dolph Ziggler for the IC Championship
- Kalisto vs. Alberto Del Rio for the U.S. Championship (Kickoff show). Del Rio has challenged Kalisto to make the bout two-out-of-three falls, which should be great!

Some important notes from Big Show's interview with Stone Cold on the Network:
- He hates how much his character's been turned face/heel. Creative turns him in order to fit what role they need him in. At this point, he's something of a gatekeeper for people who might make it higher up on the card.

- He wants to help the younger talent along. I think he's good for that given his experience and credibility. It's just pretty obvious a lot of fans are tired of seeing him.

- He expects to be done wrestling in about two years, barring injury. So... retirement match at WM34?

After Raw, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose challenged the Dudleys to a match. New Day answered instead, before the Dudleys came out to beat down the faces. The Usos made the save, leaving Woods to be speared by Roman. I'd be surprised if we don't see the Dudleys and Usos in action at Fastlane.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
Nothing to really say about 1. Their reputation for getting the facts straight is solid.

2. Imagine being so far down the card (say, only working Superstars) that security doesn't believe you're really a wrestler. I'm inferring they have some in-house security staff who know who the workers are.

3. WE HAZE ON MONDAY NIGHTS MAGGLE! I wish they'd focus on the wrestlers instead of establishing a pecking order of commentators. It's management's job to determine who's ready for primetime. Saxton's a pretty easygoing guy, so that's probably why he's the target.

4. There are people who are going to cling to ridiculous theories pretty much no matter what the evidence says. I'm very glad that one's been debunked, at least for the rational people who were sucked in by the more hysterical types who have a hundred more theories where that came from. This won't stop the perpetuation of the next round of tripe that comes along, though, sadly.

5. One at a time:

a. Breeze's push (if you can even call it that) was cut before it could even get going. He debuted out of nowhere and quickly got lost in the shuffle. I think this one's on Creative.

b. I think they got about as much out of Rose's gimmick as they could. Once he lost the partiers and turned heel, it was downhill. Really it was the gimmick that carried him; he's not an enthralling wrestler.

c. The Ascension were brought up with a completely different gimmick from what they did in NXT. I don't think they're big and imposing enough to believably be as dominant as the Road Warriors, and they were thrown into that role.

d. I think Emma did OK with Santino; she was a fun character. I think the shoplifting thing doomed her more than anything. MAYBE we see her come up with Dana Brooke later this year or in 2017 for a fresh start.

e. Bo got a good little push. He was pretty much destined to be an undercard guy. He needs more experience before he can be a title contender.

f. I admire Dave's approach here. No knock on the workers themselves, but the act that immediately comes to mind is The Vaudevillains. I don't know how well that will play to the audience at large. It's a quirky gimmick, and we could easily end up with a case of: "LOOK AT THESE GOOFS MAGGLE! THEY LOOK LIKE THEY JUST CAME OUT OF THE 1930S." "YEAH, THESE GUYS ARE BACK FROM WHEN THE DEAD SEA WAS JUST SICK!"

More wrestling tomorrow.
