ROH PPV notes, more between ROH and NJPW, more on TNA seeking investors, Former ECW Champion opening wrestling school, former Diva married, ROH dark match, and Questions on BalorxBayley, Ricochet in ROH, Nakamura's future, using social media to get over, and Puder getting destroyed in the Rumble

ROH was very happy with the 14th anniversary PPV. There was definitely a lot of fast-paced action.

- The show was a legitimate sellout. At least someone in ROH knows how to sell things.

More ROH names are expected to sign with NJPW. The working agreement between the two sides means ROH can still use those names when in-between NJPW bookings, without paying them the amount they'd have to pay for a full-time ROH contract. It also lets NJPW restock their roster after the big departures. That's great for everyone... as long as ROH and NJPW are on good terms.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

More details on TNA seeking outside investors/partners:
-  TNA wants to be a bigger player in the wrestling world. While they've really cut back on costs (including losing some office space and backing out of booking some planned names for their recent UK tour), they need more money in order to execute plans to grow the company in the years to come.

- The investors would buy part of the company, like how Jeff Jarrett was a part-owner until recently. How much of the company is up for grabs, and how much influence would come with that ownership, is unknown. That will likely depend on what each side in negotiations wants.

- Panda Energy legally still owns TNA, but TNA is pretty independent of them. Panda is not actively involved in the running of the company, nor are they financing things. TNA leadership is all centered in Nashville now.

- TNA's new TV deals with the UK and India are helping the company, but not to the degree of making big changes to the company's finances. If TNA wants to be a big player (in a similar league to WWE), they're going to need a lot more money.

- TNA has met with Pop, as well as a group in the UK. It sounds like they're casting a wide net of potential investors.

- TNA is specifically looking for a partner, rather than new owners. That said, if Pop offered them a deal similar to what Sinclair has with ROH, they might consider something like that.

It will be very interesting to see where this all leads. It could mean big things for the industry as a whole in the years to come.

The former Ezekiel Jackson is opening a wrestling school for beginners. I know some will mock that, but I think he'd be good at teaching young wrestlers the workouts necessary to make it to the next stage.

Kelly Kelly recently got married. It's kind of a slow news day, so I mentioned that.

Brian Kendrick beat Will Ferrara in a dark match at ROH's TV taping. I'd be interested to see Kendrick work there more regularly. Stevie Richards should get a regular role somewhere, too.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
1. Right now it's just something they're doing for fun. TV's taped for the next month, so we won't see anything on that front yet. I don't know if they'd be put together there, especially if either of them is moving to the main roster in a few months. I think that's a distinct possibility for Balor once they sign Gallows and Anderson.

2. The LU contract covers TV appearances in the U.S., so he can't be part of ROH TV while he's still part of their show. Ask Hernandez how strict they are about their talent working on another TV show...

3. I assumed he would be getting a deal like Balor and Itami: coming in to refine his game in NXT ahead of coming up to the main roster. Considering how big of a deal his signing was, I don't think they're planning on keeping him in NXT forever.

4. I like Ryder, but WWE sees more money-making potential in the guy with big appeal outside the wrestling world. I see why they're making a big deal out of using someone who can bring in more casual fans.

5. That was one hell of a receipt!

More wrestling tomorrow.
