WWE Q4 2015 Reax

Read on for details and thoughts on WWE's financial information from Q4 2015.

WWE released their Q4 2015 earnings.

- Adding new markets and new original content has definitely helped the Network. I hope things continue to improve from here; they had much higher goals than 1.2 million subscribers.

- Wow. Record revenue. That's huge! They're definitely doing big things in the financial department.

- I'm really glad international revenue has grown so much.

- The Network continues to replace the old PPV model, which shouldn't surprise anyone. Hopefully the people who still buy PPVs will be converted over.

- Good work as always with their social media/digital stuff.

- Wow. A lot more content has been added to the Network. They'll keep going with that as the year(s) go on.

- Live and original content has been a hit. Obviously they can't go full-on in that direction yet.

- The Asia/Pacific and Latin markets remain fairly weak. Hopefully having AJ, Nakamura, Balor, Anderson, Gallows, and the former La Sombra on-board does good things, although they shouldn't stop there.

- At what point does WWE Studios become a vanity project where they can say they make movies? It's doing OK, but not great.

- I think their DVD/Blu-Ray sales aren't doing well because people are moving to getting that content online. I wouldn't be worried about it.

- People still buy PPVs, somewhat surprisingly. Some of that could be from countries that don't have the Network.

- NXT touring is going to be good for the company's bottom line, even though the markets right now are fairly small.

- It's worth noting "Total Divas" makes the company money. They're going to keep it around as long as that's the case. I wonder if they'd continue it on the Network if E! cancels it.

Some notes from the conference call:
- The WWE Network in India is a long-term project, since PPVs still air there. It's going to take time for the world to totally "convert" from TV to the Internet.

-- WWE's deal in India doesn't allow them to show PPVs on the Network. Once they get that settled, Network buys should go up a lot.

- WWE plans to expand to other social media channels. As they should.

- Vince basically no-sold declining ratings, pointing out how ratings for NBCU in general are lower. Raw and Smackdown are still doing well, comparative to that. He also pointed out people watch content in different ways now (like the next day on YouTube). This will be conveniently ignored when people take shots at Vince and Creative.

- NXT is going to expand, and going on the road more. No surprise there.

- WWE is open to having NXT on TV in the U.S., like it is in other countries. I mean, they'd be open to having Main Event and Superstars on TV here, too, but they need someone to want to air them. NXT is a big part of why the Network is successful, so they need to be careful about how they handle it.

- WWE has plans to put the Network in China, Thailand, and the Philippines in the next year or so. Those are the remaining big markets for them.

More wrestling coming up.
