Issues with top AAA talents, WWE live event notes including Brock match, Balor correction, Bryan note, and Questions on WWE signing Kong/Kharma, the lack of PPV bonuses, WCW and TNA on the Network, and hazing

There are issues between AAA and some of its most prominent talents regarding pay, particularly in regard to their use on Lucha Undergound. While some talents are considering leaving for greener pastures, they're hesitant to leave AAA in fear of missing out on bookings for LU. If I'm HHH, I'm keeping an eye on this situation to see if there are any talents who might want to come to NXT/WWE. Ditto for TNA Managament. They might be able to get some talents who would otherwise not consider coming to the U.S.

At a live event this weekend, a fan got physical with Stardust and was dragged out of the arena. Yeah, don't do that...

Also on a live event this weekend, the Primetime Players once more worked separate matches. Darren Young took a loss to Goldust, which is interesting since they're both faces on the main roster. Are we in for a D-Young heel turn? It could be interesting, but I don't see it leading to a big push. And you KNOW he'd be putting Titus over plenty of times.

Everything else from yesterday is after the break.

AJ Styles worked his first WWE live event this weekend, beating The Miz via submission.

Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady beat The Ascension on the main roster this weekend. Carmella was in Enzo and Cass' corner.  I'm excited for them coming to the main roster.

The Lucha Dragons are back as a team. They beat Los Matadores on a live event this weekend.

Brock Lesnar beat Rusev at a live event. That could have been a real war.

Bo Dallas and Bray Wyatt are both back in the ring for WWE after missing this week's WWE tapings due to their grandfather's medical issues.

In a correction from a previous post, Finn Balor did appear live for the NXT fans in Indianapolis despite his injuries. He was on crutches, and Bayley did a version of his entrance to a positive reaction form the crowd. That's pretty cool.

Daniel Bryan has cut his hair short and really trimmed his beard back, losing his signature WWE look for the past number of years. There's absolutely something to this (to be explored more in tomorrow's post). I think he'd have to get WWE's approval to change his look that drastically, since they make so much merchandise based on "Goatface" Bryan.

For my take on yesterday's PWInsider.com questions:
Nothing to really add to 1, other than everyone thinking everything needs an app now, whether that's cost-effective or not.

2. I definitely think they'd shy away from someone who just assaulted a fellow employee. They don't want the negative PR associated with that incident. This is the company that distances themselves from one of their all-time top draws because of the negative PR Hogan gets, after all.

3. With things moving to the Network era, where each PPV is selling at a much lower price than before, I can't say I'm surprised they're not giving talents a big cut.

4. It would all depend on whether there was money to be made in that endeavor. WCW was in clear decline compared when WWF bought it, so unless they were willing to use WCW's reduced roster in smaller arenas, I don't know why they'd keep the brand around when they could just absorb the remaining assets on the main roster. As for TNA, it would also depend on how much of a draw the brand still was when it was bought. When they could import the cream of the crop to the main roster and NXT, I don't know why they'd have a separate touring entity with its own taping schedule, etc. If they had to fulfill TV deals overseas for TNA, like they do with Superstars and Main Event, I imagine they'd do something to fill all that time.

5. There's a difference between making the young guy pay his dues by driving, getting food for the boys, etc., and mean-spirited bullying. As for punishing someone by making them dress in the hallway, I don't really see that as hazing if there's a reason for it beyond bullying for kicks.

More wrestling tomorrow.
